I am a media scholar who studies American television. I am a huge Lost fan and was a bit obsessed with The Lost Experience. I am the author of the book Genre and Television: From Cop Shows to Cartoons in American Culture (Routledge, 2004) and Television and American Culture (Oxford University Press, 2010), which features a section on Lost. And I have a blog about television.
I have published a few online essays about Lost - see The Value of Lost and Lost in an Alternate Reality at the excellent online journal Flow; "Speculation on Spoilers: Lost Fandom, Narrative Consumption and Rethinking Textuality" (co-authored with Jonathan Gray) at Particip@tions; and "Sites of Participation: Wiki Fandom and the Case of Lostpedia" at Transformative Works and Cultures. I welcome any feedback about my articles in my talk page! I'm working to build a comprehensive bibliography of Lost scholarship & analysis.
