I know my name appears particularily Lost-inspired, but I've been using this pseudo for years. Jack Kerouac's The Dharma Bums is one of my favourite novels of all time.
Long time user of Wikipedia. Although deeply bothered by the political situation over there for well over a year and not an active contributor, I'm pretty good with practical wiki-editing knowledge and would be happy to try to answer any questions about wiki-formatting and so on, especially since this project endeavours to maintain Wikipedia conventions in bolding, headings, that kind of stuff.
Resisted being a fan of this show for the first two seasons, as I'm the ornery type who sometimes distrusts that which is being forced down my throat by pop culture. My sister talked me into watching the series on DVD over the summer of 2006 and I became a raving addict. Following "live" since the 3rd season began, and have re-watched season 1 and 2 again already (during the interminable hiatus). I'm of the opinion that the past dozen epis have turned the show better than ever, but was slightly impatient with the Jack/Sawyer/Kate "mini-series" that began the season, largely because I find Jack and Kate two of the least compelling characters on the show. I'm an especially big fan of Locke, Hurley, Sawyer, Juliet, Charlie and Jin and Sun, but don't actively dislike any cast member, except perhaps Claire - well, I like her, but I find too much of her character is the stock "mother protecting child fiercely" trope I have grown somewhat weary of.
Real-life expertise is palaeoanthropology, which doesn't apply much to anything on the show, although I guess I could tell you the Adam & Eve skeletons are probably between 5 and 25 years old and Roger Work Man probably had too much flesh remaining given the tropical conditions, but I don't necessarily believe the writers know that. I've always been an avid reader, and along the way have happened to read a few of the books mentioned on the show. I can try to answer any questions about them and improve their articles. I'll get around to putting a list of them on this page in the next little bit, but any very popular or major books I've probably read (eg. anything of Stephen King's) but two of the big ones I've read that are slightly obscure are The Third Policeman and The Illuminatus! Trilogy, the latter being one of my all-time favourites I've read a half-dozen times.
