Before the Crash
Edit
Childhood
Edit
One time, when Faith was a baby, Gayle put a frog in her crib because she thought Faith needed a pet. (Endangered Species) On her third birthday, she played outside her house with her dad and her sister until her mother called them in. Unknown to them, they were being watched by Oscar Wolfe, who had traveled back in time. (...In Time)
(Oceanic Flight 815 crashes on the Island)
At her tenth birthday, Faith's Uncle Shane visited, but he was sent out of the house when he wanted to have a cigarette. (Make a Wish) When Faith was thirteen-years-old, her parents died in a fire. (Make a Wish) For a couple years after that, Faith and her sister, Gayle, lived with their grandfather. She felt betrayed by her parents' deaths, though she knew it wasn't their fault. (Family Matters)
When they were young, Gayle would say that Faith had "if only" moments, occasionally. In school, when teams were being picked, Faith would stand in the back until her name was called. She hated it when well-meaning adults lied to her about life and death situations. Often, Gayle would end up telling her the truth. (Endangered Species)
High School
Edit
In high school, Faith worked on the school paper, but quit when they asked her to run story meetings. During a different experience, Gayle got after a neighbor for neglecting his dog. For her efforts, she got in the paper, while Faith nursed the dog to health. (Endangered Species)
Gayle's Battle with Cancer
Edit
Years later, Gayle was diagnosed with cancer. Faith stayed with her sister until her death. Sometimes when Gayle was waiting for news from the doctors, Faith would find Gayle frantically cleaning. Sometime before her death, Faith and Gayle dreamed of traveling to Australia together. (Endangered Species)
On the day that their grandfather died, Gayle asked Faith to call their uncle to tell him, but when he answered the phone angrily, Faith recoiled and barely managed to tell her uncle what had happened. (Make a Wish)
One day, a few years later, when Gayle's cancer was being aggressive, a teenage boy introduced himself to Faith and offered to help Gayle, but was forbidden to help by an adult that was with him. Gayle died soon after. Faith felt betrayed because the teenage boy hadn't helped Gayle like he promised. (Ageless)
Working on her PhD
Edit
One day, a year after starting her work with Dr. Arreglo, Faith was on her way to see him, when she saw a protest outside Arreglo's building. From one of the protestors, she discovered that Arreglo was working with Q-Corp. After hearing from Arreglo that it was true, Faith left the building in tears and was comforted by the same protestor, Oscar Wolfe. Faith started dating Oscar and moved in with him after only two dates. They went to many protests together. At one protest, Oscar ran off, leaving Faith confused, but she later found him talking to a friend he'd "met online". Oscar told her about Arreglo going to Sydney and he told her that he would find a way for them to get there too. One day, soon after, Oscar visited Faith at work and told her that the International Animal League was going to pay for them to go to Australia. (Endangered Species)
After arriving in Australia, Faith met Tammy, who was there to pick them up at the airport. The next day, Faith protested at Arreglo's speech with Oscar and the rest of their group. When the protest got out of hand, Oscar and Faith fled and got a ride with Tammy to the IAL Bio Lab. At Tammy's invitation, Faith got to see their snakes. The next day, while picketing at Q-Corp HQ, Faith heard Arreglo's speech on the radio and realized his decision actually made sense. On the other hand, Oscar expressed his doubt that Arreglo would survive the trip. In horror, Faith expressed her feeling that Arreglo might be right. Angry at her, Oscar ran off. Overcome with emotion, Faith left to cry alone. Eventually, she returned to the group and got on the bus, where she made up with Oscar. That night, Faith helped Tammy milk snake venom. That night, Faith had a dream about Arreglo, Oscar, and Gayle in the form of a bird. In her dream, Oscar turned into a snake and ate Gayle. (Endangered Species)
The next morning, Oscar woke her up and showed her a message from Arreglo, saying that he wanted to talk to her. After some unexpected encouragement from Oscar, Faith got showered and changed to go see Arreglo. Before leaving their room, Oscar insisted on going to see Arreglo with her and that she take a jacket. When they arrived at Arreglo's floor, the security frisked Oscar and then they proceeded into Arreglo's room. After introducing Oscar to Arreglo, Oscar injected Arreglo with death adder venom. Arreglo collapse from the tranquilizer in the syringe and Oscar explained what he'd done. After getting back to their hotel room, Faith though the situation over and knocked Oscar out with an ice bucket. She called emergency services and sent them to Arreglo. Then she hastily packed and rushed to the airport where she got a seat on Flight 815. (Endangered Species)
After the Crash
Edit
Season 1 (Days 1-44)
Edit
After the crash, Faith woke up in the jungle. After getting up, she saw Kate, who had her back towards Faith. Kate sent Faith in the direction of the beach and disappeared quickly. After arriving at the beach, Faith wanted to help people, but stood in shock of the scene. Suddenly, an engine exploded, bringing Faith back to reality. Suddenly, a man named George ran over to her and made sure she was okay. In shock, she briefly mistook him for Dr. Arreglo, but soon realized it wasn't him. After explaining her confusion to George, he said he was never the intellectual type and that Faith reminded him of someone too. Then he suggested they gather luggage and Faith reluctantly agreed. Suddenly, the plane's wing fell and George shielded Faith from the blast of heat caused by the explosion. After the explosion, George ran off and Faith went to see if two people who had been near the wing (a large man and a pregnant woman) were okay. Suddenly, as she talked to them, George called her over and they went back to gathering luggage. (Endangered Species)
While getting luggage, Faith spotted a spider and George impulsively killed the spider, which upset Faith, so she ran off. While she was lost in her thoughts, Hurley found her and gave her some water, which helped cleared her head. Calming down more, Faith started walking around, but was asked by Sayid to help with the signal fire. While helping, she remembered the gash on her leg and left to clean it out in the ocean. After cleaning it out, she went to see Jack to make sure it was okay. After seeing Jack, Hurley gave Faith some food and, after eating, Faith tried to friendship Sawyer, but, as they talked, they heard the monster in the jungle. A few minutes later, George found Faith. They talked with Boone, Shannon, Claire, Hurley, Kate, and Charlie about the noise they'd heard. Getting tired, Faith decided to get some rest and Claire gave her a blanket. (Endangered Species)
The next day, Walt asked Faith if she'd seen his dog. She assured him Vincent would be okay, though she immediately regretted it, because she knew she didn't believe it. Walt proceeded to tell Faith about three people going to find the cockpit. Suddenly, it started to rain and Faith was able to take refuge in a shelter that George had found. He pointed out to her the trees falling in the distance. After the rain stopped, a lady gave Faith some shoes, since her sandals had broken. After that, Hurley came asking Faith if she would be able to help them find out which plants were edible. Just then, Michael arrived, looking for Walt. Faith suggested looking for Walt in the jungle, so she went with George, Boone, and Hurley to look for him. (Endangered Species)
While in the jungle, Faith thought she saw a Paradise Parrot and tried to get her companions excited about it, but only ended up in an argument with George. Giving up, Faith decided to start looking for Walt again. Later, after getting back to the beach, Faith sorted through clothes. George found her, gave her suitcase to her, and apologized for upsetting her in the jungle. Soon after, Faith got looking through a book about snakes with Walt. Suddenly, they heard a noise and found Sawyer fighting with Sayid. When the fight was broken up by Kate, Faith wandered into the jungle. In the jungle, Faith heard someone scream and found George freaking out about a small snake. She tried to console him, but he took her words as insults and ran off. (Endangered Species)
After returning to the beach, Faith was asked by Boone about George. Unable to give him an answer, Boone sent her over to Locke to help clear some wreckage. As she talked to Locke, George arrived and he hastily apologized for his outburst in the jungle. While George and Locke cleared some wreckage, Kate arrived and got a backpack from Faith. Sick from the heat, Faith went into the jungle again. Suddenly, she thought she saw the Paradise Parrot again and started chasing it through the jungle, until she was lost. Suddenly, she was encircled by snakes. After she got away, she heard George scream and she found him face to face with a death adder. Carefully finding the perfect stick, Faith disabled the snake and after a few moments of shock, George escaped from the snake. Just then, Locke, Michael, and Claire turned up and George told them about Faith saving him. Suddenly, she saw the bird again and chased it, only to find out it was not the Paradise Parrot. (Endangered Species) Some time, later that day, Faith met Dexter. (Secret Identity)
Weeks later, while traveling to the caves with Verena, Faith talked about her sister and how she had died. On their way to the caves, Howard found them and showed Verena a picture of a man who had not been there when he had taken the picture. After Howard showed Verena the picture, George showed up and told them that Amon had run off. (Camera Case) A few days later, Faith talked to George and Howard about their lack of success in finding Amon. A few days later, at the caves, Faith overheard Verena and Sophia talking about Amon being back. (Tryouts)
One night, some time later, Faith and Sophia saw Paulo digging a hole on the beach. (Language Barrier) About a week later, Faith went looking for fruit with Chris, Amon, and Tracy. (In Your Dreams) About a week after that, Jack told Faith, Verena, Sophia, and Janelle to go to the caves and wait for them there. (Gate 23)
Season 2 (Days 44-59)
Edit
At the caves, Faith argued with Charlie about what the Frenchwoman had said about the Others. The next day, Faith realized Amon was missing and reported the news to Howard. Later that day, she was looking for Amon with Verena. They talked about their experiences on the Island, including Faith thinking she'd seen a Paradise Parrot. While looking for Amon, they came across the Flame Station, where they saw a man with an eye-patch. They left the station because they feared he was one of the Others. (Ashes to Ashley) The next day, Faith went to ask Hurley about the hatch, but changed her mind when she saw him deny Charlie information. That night, Faith got some green beans from Hurley. (Real Estate)
About two weeks later, after hearing about Janelle's missing diary, Faith suggested to her that maybe Sawyer had it. Soon after, Verena told them that Amon had disappeared again. Minutes later, at the kitchen tent, they met with Verena, Howard, Sophia, George, and Dexter to talk about their next move. During the discussion, Sophia, Howard, and Verena told the group about the stations they'd found and the things they'd overheard the Others say. The concensus about what to do was that they would not go looking for Amon, but wait for him to return. (Settlement)
Season 3 (Days 68-91)
Edit
Faith saw that Dexter had a gun with him when he left the beach with George, Lance, Amon, and Howard. The next day, Janelle told Faith about the gun stash and DHARMA manuals. (By the Book) A few days later, after Dexter and the others returned, Faith asked Dexter where they had disappeared to for days. He told her about seeing Jack in the jungle. He asked her how long she thought they would still be there. She replied that she didn't care because she didn't want to face Oscar after leaving the Island. (Family Matters) About a week later, Sophia asked Faith if she'd seen Howard or Amon lately, which she hadn't. They began talking about whether they could trust Juliet. Janelle joined the conversation and said that after what they did to Amon it would take more that helping Claire for her to trust Juliet. (Careful What You Wish For)
Season 4 (Days 91-100)
Edit
After Jack made his call to the freighter, George told Faith that he was excited to go home and apologize to his daughter. She did not share his enthusiasm because she was worried about what would happen if she ran into Oscar. That night, at the cockpit, Faith chose to go with Locke because she didn't want to leave the Island and face Oscar. (Choose Your Battlets) Later, just after Doug had been shot, Faith took refuge in her home. (Make a Wish) She hid there with Richard, Steve, and Howard. Later, she saw Claire's house get hit, not realizing that Sophia had been inside. (Class Newsletter) Soon after, she saw Miles being taken to Ben's house and she later saw Alex get executed by Keamy. That night, along with Howard, Steve, and Richard, Faith ran out of the house when the monster appeared and attacked the mercenaries. They took refuge in her house again after seeing the monster. (Healing)
Just after midnight, Howard went to retrieve Sophia's body. Faith knew almost immediately when he returned that Sophia was dead. Howard suggested that they take the long way around to the shore and then find their beach. After trekking for a while, Faith, Howard, Steve, and Richard found the Arrow Station. Faith went ahead with Howard as Steve and Richard stayed behind to rest at the Arrow. (Healing) They finally arrived at the beach camp later that morning. They were greeted by Verena, who took Howard into the jungle to bury Sophia, while Faith went ahead to the camp. She was greeted by Chris, who immediately asked what had happened at the Barracks. She was berated by Lance when he found out that they had only brought back Sophia's body and had left Doug's body behind. Faith walked away from him upset. (Membata)
Faith talked to Amon about why she went with Locke. She told him about knocking Oscar out the day of the flight and that she was scared to death of what would happen if she ever saw him again. (In Your Dreams)
After Sayid arrived at the beach on the Zodiac raft, the next day, Faith went on the first trip to the freighter, along with Sun, Jin, Lisa, Amon, and Aaron. (Membata) Once arriving at the freighter, she was helped on board by Desmond and Faraday. (Membata) She wandered the boat with Lisa and eventually found the bridge, where Nathan was. He mentioned the Harrington Cancer Foundation to her. Just then, they heard a noise from the deck. They ran to the deck to find the chopper landing. (The Future) After arriving at the deck, Oscar approached Faith, who was scared to death, thinking that Oscar would harm her. He asked her to leave the boat with him, but she refused. (A Second Chance) After the explosion of the freighter, Faith found Amon's corpse. She began yelling for help and Nathan turned up soon after. However, when he tried to climb onto the piece of metal with Lisa and Faith, he slipped and ended up killing himself. Faith and Lisa died soon after from injuries sustained in the explosion. (Ageless)
