Running count of the most bad-ass cast member: 1. Eko- The all-around most bad-ass, wouldn't want to meet you in a dark alley, much less a dense, sparsely populated area. Not only did Eko have the brute strength to scare you, he also had the faith and intelligence to keep the total package there.

2. Sayid- By far and away, the best soldier type on the Island. Sayid has a strong back bone as well as the moral compass to follow through on what he feels is right. Physicality is a must here. Hand-to-Hand, I don't know who would win between Sayid and Eko. It would have been a good fight.

3. Jack- Yes, I know, I put the Doc way too high, but he was massacring Sawyer in the jungle in the last episode of Season 5. And let's be clear, I do not think Sawyer is a slouch by any means, but Jack was beating him. Jack even had time to stop and make sure Sawyer didn't want anymore. And let's face it, as hair-brained as some of his schemes seem, I would hate to be on the opposite side as Jack.

4. Sawyer- By default, usually, people give the bad-assery award to Sawyer. I'm sorry, but he is kind of a softy to be after the aformentioned ass-kicking Jack bestowed upon him.

5. Locke- Especially in this new guise, nothing but threatening.
