Uncle Doug is Sawyer's uncle. At his parents' funeral Doug finds him writing a letter and tells him that although he should want revenge on the man who did this, he should move on with his life and made him promise he wouldn't finish the letter. He says "What's done is done." ("The Incident, Parts 1 & 2").
Trivia
- The casting call described him as "Doug. Caucasian, 40s. Charismatic, soft southern accent. Strong and authoritative but knows how to deliver bad news smoothly. Deals bad news to his buddy with empathy." [1]
- It is unknown if this is the same uncle that Sawyer says died of a brain tumor. ("Deus Ex Machina")
- It isn't clear if Doug is the brother of Sawyer's father Mr. Ford or the brother of Sawyer's mother Mary Ford.
