UltimateLostFanPromoContest

The Ultimate Lost Fan Promo Contest was announced by ABC with the airing of "Sundown" on March 2, 2010.

Entrants could use either ABC's Flash-based online "mash-up" editing tool or their own video editing tools to produce and submit their own 35-second promo for the Lost finale episode, which aired May 23, 2010. The contest was open to residents of the 50 United States 18 years of age and older.

ABC.com users could view and rate submitted entries on the official contest web site.

The contest deadline was March 21, 2010.

After the deadline, ABC.com users voted from among 5 finalists selected by contest judges. The five finalists were: "Convergence" by Sam Balcomb, "The LOST Life" by Andy Kelemen, "Questions" by Meghan O'Donnell, "The Obsession" by Danny Simonzad, and "Going Home" by John Sweeney. Fans were able to vote once per day through the end of Friday, April 23, 2010.

The winning promo, "Convergence", by Sam Balcomb, aired on TV on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 during "What They Died For" and earned its creator a trip to Los Angeles to attend the series' special finale party on May 13, 2010.
