Tovard Hanso

Theories may be removed if ...
  1. Stated as questions or possibilities (avoid question marks, "Maybe", "I think", etc).
  2. More appropriate for another article.
  3. Illogical or previously disproven.
  4. Proven by canon source, and moved to main article.
  5. Speculative and lacking any evidence to support arguments.
  6. Responding to another theory (use discussion page instead).
  • This does not include responses that can stand alone as its own theory.
  • Usage of an indented bullet does not imply the statement is a response.

See the Lostpedia theory policy for more details.

  • As we know that Magnus is Alvar's grandfather, Tovard is probably Magnus' son and Alvar's father.
    • Several sources state that Magnus is Alvar's GREAT-grandfather, not grandfather.
    • Since Alvar is roughly 112, Tovard is more likely a descendant of Alvar's rather than an ancestor. Hanso's Life Extension Project aside, the oldest recorded human in the real world lived to 122. Tovard would have to get his freak on at the age of 10 at the oldest to be Alvar's daddy.
      • Since the Lost Experience is not canon, facts presented there should not be used in consideration with the main show.
        • In the canon section on Lostpedia, The Lost Experience is considered canon.
    • It will be revealed that Magnus and/or Tovard DID spend time on the Island. Due to the time dilation that is occurring between the island and the outside world, time passed much more quickly off-island. At some point, Tovard escaped the Island and fathered Alvar. With the time difference, the fatherhood of Tovard is much more likely.
    • Tovard is Alvar's brother.
  • In the diary is the exact location of the Island. Because of that, Alvar Hanso was able to find the Island.
    • Now Charles Widmore is interested in the location because of reasons we don't understand yet.
  • Ben is Tovard Hanso. Tovard may or may not be a real person. Ben has many identities, and obviously has a way to obtain large sums of money. Ben sold the diary of the Black Rock for $380,00 pounds, one of his many means of financial gain.
    • But Ben clearly doesn`t want anyone to find the Island, especially not Charles Widmore, so why would he sell the one thing that could lead him there?
  • Tovard is Alvar Hanso's son, Alvar somehow fell unconcious (hit by a car?) and his assets were passed down to his son. However Tovard was never told of his fathers involvements, and thus sold his possesions to Widmore and lost his organisations to Mittelwerk.
  • Tovard is infact Charles Widmore himself who was born on the island since his grandfather came to the island on the black rock and founded the others, he lost his Journal but eventually bought it back.
    • Furthermore Charles does not realise he is Magnus hanso's descendant as Richard has hid this from him so he can be the leader and not Widmore.
      • If Tovard was Charles Widmore, why would he auction the diary and buy it himself.
