  1. Stated as questions or possibilities (avoid question marks, "Maybe", "I think", etc).
  2. More appropriate for another article.
  3. Illogical or previously disproven.
  4. Proven by canon source, and moved to main article.
  5. Speculative and lacking any evidence to support arguments.
  6. Responding to another theory (use discussion page instead).
  • This does not include responses that can stand alone as its own theory.
  • Usage of an indented bullet does not imply the statement is a response.

See the Lostpedia theory policy for more details.

  • The "flash-sideways" could be an alternate timeline in which events were never influenced by the island or Jacob (possibly as a result of time travel or moving the island a final time, as the island and many of it's structures seem to be intact below the surface of the ocean).
  • For example:
    • Roger Linus will never be offered a job on the island by Horace, resulting in Ben growing up on the mainland and becoming a European History teacher and Ethan growing up to be a regular sergeon.
    • Desmond will never enter the yatch race (as this was influenced by Widmore and Eloise and their interactions with the island) and for unknown reasons, end up a passenger on flight 815.
  • The flash-sideways timeline is part of the crossing of the two timelines experienced by Desmond Hume in "Flashes Before Your Eyes" and "The Constant", George Minkowski and Eloise the rat in "The Constant", Theresa Spencer in "Jughead", Charlotte Lewis in "This Place Is Death" and Juliet Burke in "LA X, Part 1"
