During Jack's stay in Phuket a Thai boy called him "Doctor Jack" and sold him soda on the beach, but seemed to know no other English. Later, after Jack's trangression of getting his tattoo, the boy ran away from Jack upon seeing him. His T-shirt features the Om, a symbol often used to identify Hinduism.
