"Temple and Spring" is a piece from the Season 6 soundtrack. It plays after Sayid's first death.

Scene descriptionEdit

While waiting in the Temple spring room, Hurley and Miles sit near Sayid's body. Hurley says goodbye to his friend. Sawyer awakens, and Kate explains where they are. He tells her that he doesn't plan to kill Jack, because "he deserves to suffer on this rock just like the rest of us."

InfluencesEdit

The piece begins with Hurley's second theme. It moves into Kate and Sawyer's theme then plays a few notes from Jack's theme before ending on the main theme. Hurley, Kate, Sawyer, and Jack later become the last four candidates.

Title significanceEdit

The title references the scene's setting - the Temple and its spring.
