Jack

Can someone change the name in the parentheses from Kate to Jack?  ODK Talk   Sandbox 19:46, 12 September 2006 (PDT)

I second that. --SilvaStorm
Not until its confirmed via press release from ABC --plkrtn 05:08, 15 September 2006 (PDT)
Uh, don't the official promo photos sorta confirm it? --SilvaStorm
Not really. lost-media isn't an official site. I don't doubt that it's true but I'd rather not change it 10 time based on rumor when the press release for the episode and official photos on abc medianet should be released soon. --   Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 09:58, 16 September 2006 (PDT)

Every Man for Himself 304

ABC has the press release up. [1] --Minderbinder 12:23, 9 October 2006 (PDT)

Do we know whose flashback it is yet for sure? --CrystalSkull 07:35, 10 October 2006 (PDT)
The cast list makes it look like Sawyer, but nothing official yet. -- Plkrtn  talk  contribs  email  07:39, 10 October 2006 (PDT)
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's a Rose-centric episode. :| --SilvaStorm
The producers have confirmed that the episode will be centered around Sawyer on the October 25th Official Podcast. --Gateboy42 16:03, 25 October 2006 (PDT)
  • Lets make Sawyer into Sawyer. -- Ohmyn0 19:48, 25 October 2006 (PDT)

Why is...

Why is the template for seasons 1 and 2 in bold print, but the season 3 one is not? ShadowUltra 08:15, 5 November 2006 (PST)

I Do Flashback

As its featuring the marshall, are we now pretty much saying that this is a Kate flashback? -- Plkrtn  talk  contribs  email  08:44, 7 November 2006 (PST)

Seems likely, but I don't know if it's really official. Interesting that ABC hasn't released any early promotional photos for this episode, unlike most of the other ones this season. And it looks like the official podcast didn't say who gets the flashback? Seems like they're being more secretive than usual this week, I hope that's a good sign. --Minderbinder 09:05, 7 November 2006 (PST)
Wasn't, really. Also, it was Kate, as we all know. Oreally? 20:00, 8 November 2006 (PST)

Not in Portland

This has been confirmed on the latest podcast - Official 'Lost' Podcast/December 6, 2006. --SilvaStorm

Err no... The episode name has been mentioned on the podcast, but they were responding to the rumour. It may well be a title of an episode but they didn't confirm it as an episode title, nor when it would be aired.  Plkrtn  talk  contribs  email  01:22, 7 December 2006 (PST)
  • Now that it is confirmed, and Mitchell has also said in an interview that it is Juliet-centric, would anyone object to me putting it in the template? Not because it is unconfirmed, but because it is spoilerish, and will be seen on the other pages. --PandoraX 16:21, 21 January 2007 (PST)

Proposal

I've never really liked the Season navigational boxes, and so have created some new ones. They're the same basic layout, but text is bigger and now reads across rather than down (I prefer it this way but others might not). They are coloured coded - Season One is grey like its DVD set, Season Two orange like its DVD set, and Season Three green (seems most suitable from the cast photo for the season). I think they are visually better, but as I mentioned earlier, the 'reading across' format may confuse. They can be found here. >: 4 8 15 16 23 42 09:57, 4 February 2007 (PST)

Nope, Look terrible.--CaptainInsano 10:00, 4 February 2007 (PST)

I agree with Capt although not quite as bluntly. I'd back it if you tone down the colors. --Princess Dharma (banned) 10:03, 4 February 2007 (PST)

Enter 77

Its listed as the 10th episode when it should be the 11th. Thanks -Mr.Leaf 17:05, 4 February 2007 (PST)

"The Man from Tallahassee"

Looks like "The Man from Tallahassee" is going to be Locke-centric. --MercuryOne 20:46, 14 March 2007 (PDT)

Season 4

Since there's a page for Season 4 now, should a link to it be added to the right side of the nav box, opposite the Season 2 link? A minor detail, I know, but it should probably be done eventually. If people would rather wait until there's a little more content on the new page, that's fine too. --Compossible 13:04, 28 March 2007 (PDT)

One of Us confirmed Juliet centric

Confirmed as Juliet flashback in Official Lost Podcast/April 5, 2007.

"The Brig"

Does anyone else have an extra 'block' coming out of the right of "The Brig"? >: 4 8 15 16 23 42 03:44, 10 April 2007 (PDT)

Figured it out, someone put || placemarks for the final few eps on the template. However, when Mr.Leaf added the Brig he didn't replace the placemark, but added the new one and left it. Consequently it made a new box. Mystery solved, I've removed it --Nickb123 (Talk) 04:06, 10 April 2007 (PDT)

Confirmed flashbacks for future episodes

  • I have changed all confirmed flashbacks for future episode to link to the correct character page however they read confirmed. This is to avoid spoiling the FB of future episodes for users. If anyone has any objections to this please say so.-Mr.Leaf 13:47, 11 April 2007 (PDT)
I think that's a great idea, covers both people who want the spoiler and those who don't. --Minderbinder 14:26, 11 April 2007 (PDT)

So now Catch 22 is confirmed, even though it doesn't come from medianet, yet no flashback listed for DOC? Are you following the "policy" in the spoilerbox or not? --Minderbinder 11:24, 17 April 2007 (PDT)

Yes, we are following policy. The Catch-22 Desmond FB was obvious in the podcast, the Jin/Sun DOC one was not so a few people voiced their opinions just to make sure most people interpreted it that way. a Podcast has and always will be official material and not considered. It just may not always be added as fast. We try and do stuff as quickly as we can thought sometimes it takes a bit of time. -Mr.Leaf 14:18, 17 April 2007 (PDT)

D.O.C. Flashback

On the D.O.C. page, it says that the flashbacks for this episode have been confirmed as Jin & Sun but the template just reads as "Confirmed". -- Purinkle 08:02, 19 April 2007 (PDT)

Since this template is on every page, it doesn't list future flashbacks since some consider that a spoiler. With a one-character flashback, it can be linked but still say (unconfirmed), but that's not possible with two characters. --Minderbinder 15:57, 19 April 2007 (PDT)

Through the Looking Glass

"Through the Looking Glass" has been confirmed as the finale title on this ABC document - [2]. >: 4 8 15 16 23 42 12:23, 23 April 2007 (PDT)

Bottom of page seven to save you the trouble of scanning. >: 4 8 15 16 23 42 12:24, 23 April 2007 (PDT)
Cheers, I used the Find function, it is pretty hard to spot yeah. --Nickb123 (Talk) 12:30, 23 April 2007 (PDT)

D.O.C. just Sun flashbacks?

The template says (Jin & Sun), but I think the flashbacks were Sun's only (like "House of the Rising Sun" and "The Whole Truth"). >: 4 8 15 16 23 42 08:25, 27 April 2007 (PDT)

Is knowing whose episode is a flashback, a spoiler?

Absolutely not. How can it be? If we want to get that piniky, we shouldn't put ANYTHING up about episodes, even episode titles till it has aired. As soon as the press release is out, we should have the name up on the site. Anything else, is just overcautioness that just causes more work.  Plkrtn  talk  contribs  email  03:53, 2 May 2007 (PDT)

  • I don't find that a spoiler. What I personally do find a spoiler is seeing what people appear in a future episode. Sure, it can perhaps be put on the episode page (perhaps), but not on the character's page. For example, on the Parachutist's page, all the future episodes she would appear in were added to her "Appearances". See, I don't like that. I don't want to know in what episode characters will appear. I don't want to watch out for spoilers like that when I just want to read a bit about the character. Same goes for Mikhail, on his page you could see all his future episodes aswell. --TPIMaster 08:46, 2 May 2007 (PDT)
  • Personally I don't find it a spoiler but we must cater to all our users. There have been complaints, see Talk:Season 3 and I have received a couple complaints in the chat about these type of spoilers. I don't see it at as a huge problem changing the link to say "confirmed". Hovering your mouse over them, visiting the actual episode page or clicking on the link all easily show who the flashback character is. -Mr.Leaf 10:25, 4 May 2007 (PDT)
I consider it a mild spoiler and I know others who do as well, same goes for cast lists of future episodes. But nobody is saying we shouldn't put it up at all. The issue is that this template appears on every episode, including ones that have already aired. Just keep spoiler info released by ABC on the pages for that episode. Those who want the spoiler just click on the page, and those who don't won't be exposed to it accidentally. I don't see why someone would object to that, and I strongly oppose the recent edit to the template that put this info on display - please put it back the way it was. --Minderbinder 11:26, 4 May 2007 (PDT)
  • Sometimes, especially in the case of next weeks episode, the flashback character can be a spoiler in and of itself. Knowing it's ben departs from the show's conventions. Same thing with the season 2 finale, showing the flashback character as desmond is a spoiler, since Desmond wasn't on the island at the time. Could someone please change it back to the "Confirmed" thing? I believe the majority of the Lost community doesn't indulge in prespoilers, and we should cater to them.
And if they do want to indulge, it just takes one click. --Minderbinder 14:05, 4 May 2007 (PDT)
Mr. Leaf, thanks for the fix. --Minderbinder 14:19, 4 May 2007 (PDT)
I personally think its a spoiler too. I love spoilers, but my friend hates finding anything about upcoming episodes, including flashback characters and the episode title. I defintly think we should just play it safe and write confirmed for the flashback character. --Mr. Crabby (Talk) 14:31, 4 May 2007 (PDT)
  • I would say it's a spoiler. For example, knowing that Charlie has a future flashback, you know that he won't die in "Catch-22", which is a spoiler. --elpaw 09:56, 5 May 2007 (PDT)

Lost: A Tale of Survival

Lost: A Tale of Survival is on the template twice. Someone has changed the Lost Moments to Tale of Survival. --   Dee4leeds  talk  contribs  all  01:12, 6 May 2007 (PDT)

This needs changing. --   Dee4leeds  talk  contribs  all  07:52, 8 May 2007 (PDT)

Lost: The Answers

This "episode" was a recap, so why the template says that it is a preview? --Kemot from Poland 07:22, 11 June 2007 (PDT)

Seasonnav templates - more season links?

Say you're viewing a season 3 episode article and you want to quickly jump over to a season 1 article. Using the current navigation template, this is a two-step process (hitting the season 2 link and waiting for it to load, then hitting the season 1 link). I think it would be great to have a season 1 link right next to the season 2 link. And accordingly in the season 1 template, have season 2 and season 3 links on the right side of the template. I think there is plenty of room in the top part of the template for this. Also, when season 4 comes, it will take even longer to quickly navigate between the first and most recent seasons. What do you guys think? -- Graft   talk   contributions  22:23, 17 September 2007 (PDT)

Good point. I added a link to Season 1 on the top. Nothing for season 4 until the first episode title is announced and we have a navigation template.    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 14:23, 18 September 2007 (PDT)
Cool. What about a link to season 3 in the season 1 nav template?-- Graft   talk   contributions  15:09, 18 September 2007 (PDT)
Done.    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 15:28, 18 September 2007 (PDT)

New Link

The link to season four needs to be added to this template.--4 11:02, 23 January 2008 (PST)

I agree, we can add the Season 4 link to each of the season navs, now that we have the Season 4 nav up with some episodes on it. -- Graft   talk   contributions  19:42, 24 January 2008 (PST)
Just so you know. It was added yesterday after the first comment was posted. -Mr.Leaf 19:53, 24 January 2008 (PST)
Ah, I suppose I should've looked first! The Season 4 one (which I have looked at) could use the seasons 1 and 2 links as well. -- Graft   talk   contributions  21:03, 24 January 2008 (PST)

Enhanced version link is useless

Why is there a special link for the enhanced s3 finale version? Especially when it just redirects to the transcript: that's just dumb! Furthermore, nowadays every episode seems to have an enhanced version, so are we gonna create a special page those episodes too ? And ultimately have double pages for every episode? - TheAma1 07:52, 16 February 2008 (PST)

Season 5

Season 5 is missing in Template:Season1nav, Template:Season2nav and Template:Season3nav. -  Rasmus Ni  Talk  Contributions  21:55, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

The Lost Survival Guide

The Lost Survival Guide was an Entertainment Weekly-styled clip show featuring clips from the show and interviews with Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof. It aired one month before the Season 3 premiere. It should be first on the Season 3 Nav list, before "Lost: A Tale of Survival". Doctag 21:11, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

No, because it wasn't commenced by ABC. -- CTS  Talk   Contribs 21:12, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
