About her martial arts training

  • The trivia about her is lifted straight from IMDB, which is without any sources. The original text about her martial arts training is very non-sensical. Being trained in a martial art does not necessarily make you a trained fighter, and I have no idea what "Unarmed, Quarter Staff, Broad Sword" is even supposed to mean. Unarmed probably refers to taekwondo, so mentioning it twice is redundant. I have no reason to believe that she hasn't studied taekwondo, which is after all a popular sport in South Koreak, but the rest just sounds like it was written by somebody who has no clue what he's saying, and I think it's therefore unreliable. So, I edited it.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Daddylonglegs (talkcontribs) 12:43, 18 May 2007.

Rename

  • Rename to "Yunjin Kim" - This article has been "Yoon-jin Kim" for a long time, but IMO this should not be the spelling LP uses. As for precedence in the rest of the articles in LP where spelling of an actor's name is variable, we always use the credited name, as listed by ABC. This name is also their official screen actor guild show name at the time of filming, and is usually reflected in their IMDb listing. In this case, both ABC Lost credits, ABCmedianet.com, and IMDb list her as "Yunjin Kim" (no hyphen). -- Contrib¯ _Santa_ ¯  Talk  18:57, 13 October 2007 (PDT)
  • Note: also, the credited name is not just an ABC thing. It's an official Screen Actors Guild designation, and no two people may share the same stage name at the same time. That's as official as it gets. Even WP uses stage names, rather than birth names, for actors, for example Nicholas Cage, not "Nicholas Kim Coppola". -- Contrib¯ _Santa_ ¯  Talk  11:55, 19 October 2007 (PDT)
  • Rename if it says Yunjin Kim on the credits on the show then thats how it should be spelled.--Berethor222 07:15, 16 October 2007 (PDT)
  • Rename - as this site is dedicated to Lost, then what Lost says goes, so Yunjin it should be. -random2502 11:04, 19 October 2007 (PDT)
  • Rename I agree--Lifeilluminate 12:07, 19 October 2007 (PDT)
  • Rename Agree. I notice it's spelled that way on the official Yunjin Kim site as well. -- Graft   talk   contributions  20:50, 22 October 2007 (PDT)

filmography

It states a few movies she has been in under the heading background, but under filmography there are no listings. Anyone have time to research this? Springfinger 22:28, 13 May 2008 (PDT)
