rumors strike will end very soon

There have been strong rumors all day that a deal has been made and that the writers strike will end shortly. Dharmatel4 19:04, 2 February 2008 (PST)

Yep, this article makes it look very promising. -- Graft   talk   contributions  19:08, 2 February 2008 (PST)

If the strike ends, where does Lost stand?

Okay, so it looks like the Strike probably will be ending this weekend. Where does that put us with Lost? With two episodes aired and six to go, that gives the people working on the show six weeks to get the machine going again. Does that look viable? Is it going to be possible to get all of the actors/crew together all of a sudden? Six weeks might be enough time to write and shoot a couple of episodes, but then we'd be out of time. What I'm asking is; have we passed the point of no return? Is Lost Season 4 permanently going to be 8 episodes long? Or will there be a hiatus of a month of two before we get the second batch of 8 episodes? I wonder which scenario is most likely. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Silvertouch (talkcontribs) .

Ausiello says: "Lost will most likely film six more episodes for season 4. They probably won't be done in time to air in succession after the eight completed ones, and it's possible that they'll air into June. This will give season 4 a total of 14 episodes. It's unclear what they'll then do with season 5. My guess is that they'll shoot 18 episodes for the fifth season to get back on track with their prescribed season 6 end date. Regardless, this is still great news." [1] --Hunter61 07:55, 9 February 2008 (PST)
Agreed, and thanks for the info. Iff there's going to be a brief hiatus anyway I wonder why they don't just go the whole hog and film 8 more episodes? I'm not complaining, I'd be just as happy with 6, it just seems odd to pull everything back into action without capping off the season the way they'd originally intended to. --Silvertouch
