Screen Capture
Edit
- I uploaded the screen cap of MWF. You can change it if you would like, I just put it in where I though it fit best.--scocub
I agree
Edit
Yes I agree, when I named it I intended it to be 'Mysterious Waving Figure' and now cannot figure out how to change the name.
Name: Caps and Multiple Adjectives
Edit
Although Strunk & White recommends a comma between two adjectives describing the same noun:
- capitalization seems to be an error, as it's not a proper noun. It's a description.
- Should be: Mysterious, figure waving
- Two adjectives are not necessary. An article title with a comma is cumbersome, especially if it is not a proper noun phrase (e.g. like a movie title with a comma).
- Why doesn't Waving figure or Mysterious figure cut it?
- Because if one adj. isn't enough, the alternative is: why not use three adjectives:
- Mysterious, Silhouetted, Figure Waving. or four:
- Mysteriuos, Silhouetted, Fuzzy, Figure Waving or an adverb:
- Mysterious, Fuzzily-Silhouetted, Figure Waving or more:
- Mysterious, Fuzzily-Silhouetted, Figure Waving at the viewer of the Season 2 DVD
The article exists to fill in those details, not the title.

- Point well made. Mysterious figure would work for me and I'll categorize it with the Season 2 DVD. That said, can we then change it to just Mysterious Figure?--scocub
- Isn't "mysterious figure" a bit vague? Practically everything on this show is mysterious. If you want to go shorter, Waving Figure is probably more unique, and even something like Obscured Waving Figure, or Unidentified is probably more specific than mysterious. --Minderbinder 09:02, 21 September 2006 (PDT)
Claire's Mom and Jacks Step-Mom
Edit
i think that this is who this person is.. your toughts?
- Just because Jack and Claire are half-siblings, that doesn't make Claire's mother Jack's stepmother. --Gluphokquen Gunih ▲ 12:02, 21 August 2007 (PDT)
I think that the MWF is whatever state Christian Shephard is in now, that's why the connection to Christian, Claire and Jack, but he is NOT Christian. --Celbertin 20:18, 29 July 2008 (PDT)
Carole Littleton
Edit
Considering her connection with Claire, Jack, and Christian, would it be unreasonable to assume the figure is Carole Littleton? I doubt we're going to get a straight answer to this on the show ("Hi, I'm the waving figure on the season 2 DVD!"). ShadowUltra 15:10, 22 February 2008 (PST)
- After, There's No Place Like Home it's so obvius that it's Carole.--Orhan94 05:13, 23 May 2008 (PDT)
- Wasn't Carole in a coma by that time. Wouldn't it have been Lindsey?--Jackdavinci 13:51, 23 May 2008 (PDT) Nevermind. --Jackdavinci 13:54, 23 May 2008 (PDT)
- I don't understand why such mystery would be put in place if the figure turned out to be a minimal character like Carole. I was starting to think that the figure was Christian's father, who conveniently had his son's shoes when Jack came to visit. Remember, he talked about leaving to a place where no one would ever find him. Sounds like the Island would be a good place for him. Dr. McPhearson 04:21, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
- At the time, no one knew Jack, Claire, and Christian were all related. This could have been a cryptic way to show they WERE, in fact, related. --Superorange 22:54, May 17, 2010 (UTC)
- Hmmm... Good point... Let's keep this in mind... --Metalpotato - Talk - Contributions - ✉ 11:57, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
