VHF or UHF?[]

I'm an amateur radio guy so I can shed some light into this. I'm guessing they are the using the UHF version of the CP100, since UHF penetrates buildings usually better than VHF can. The repeater possibly might be on the top floor of the main Hydra building and probably operates on 200 to 300 watts of power. --Agentskelly 13:07, 10 November 2006 (PST)

Something else I thought of last night: I know someone found a website with the origins of the prop U-Matic tape player in the Pearl, so I have a hunch if you really really are desperate to figure out if the HT (handie talkie, its another way of saying walkie talkie in the world of Motorola radios) is VHF or UHF to just go around the Motorola dealers on the island of Oahu and ask they sold a pair of radios to Bad Robot Productions. --Agentskelly 11:17, 16 November 2006 (PST)

Model Type[]

If would appear from the buttons that this is a single channel model, and not the other, 16 channel model. The odd display numbers that Paulo sees in Exposé arn't possible with that walkie unless it's been modified.

I'd hazard a guess that the shorter antenna implies the UHF version.

Screen Numbers[]

The numbers '288' and '188' are displayed when you first turn a CP100 on. It's part of the display test. See the manual at http://www.thekidshuttle.com/ABC%20Docs/CP100_Manual.pdf --Freddyokel 09:59, 7 January 2008 (PST)
