NameEdit

Should we have a column giving what episode each track is from, and what scene it is from in that episode? Jeremiahsmith 21:08, 17 November 2006 (PST)

Maybe, but it might mess up the current layout. You could always resize the table... --SilvaStorm
GREAT work to whomever made the lists! I just wanted to let you know that I updated/corrected two track descriptions: Season 2, Track 3 & Season 3, Track 19.--DesmondExMachina 17:44, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

Season 3 Edit

Any official word on when the soundtrack for season 3 is coming out? Π 07:10, 27 May 2007 (PDT)

I sent an e-mail to Mr Giacchino about a week ago asking if he knows when it comes out, however he still hasn't replied.--Jabadibah 01:22, 21 September 2007 (PDT)

  • Still no answer? - TheAma1 12:22, 8 February 2008 (PST)
  • Woohooo! Just received an email vrom Varèse Sarabande with the press release for the 3rd season OST! - TheAma1 03:23, 11 March 2008 (PDT)
When is it released? Here in the UK it was supposed to be 28th April, and 29th in the states but then it got pushed back a week. Now I'm looking on a few websites in the UK (it is supposed to be out today) and it says 12th May. Has it been pushed back in America too? I'm slightly annoyed that they're messing us about with the date.--Baker1000 14:58, 5 May 2008 (PDT)
  • It comes out tommorow (tuesday)! :) - TheAma1 15:16, 5 May 2008 (PDT)

Fave Season song? Edit

For me personally World's Worst Landscaping is my favorite S2 song.. And the song playing when Nikki is running in Expose is my favorite season 3 song.

Yeah my fave season 2 song also is World's Worst Landscaping, it was too bad it was so short though..--Jabadibah 01:23, 21 September 2007 (PDT)

I liked Just Another Day On The Beach. It's great to picture Ana Lucia looking up at the island, not knowing how much impact it would have on everyone's lives.--Berethor222 12:26, 8 February 2008 (PST)

Personally, my favorites are "The Eyeland" (S1), "Ocean's Apart" (S3), and "Juliette is Lost" (S3). "World's Worst Beach Party" and "Just Another Day On the Beach" are excellent bookends to each other. The climax of "Sweet Exposé" has to be one of the creepiest pieces of music ever written. It captures the absolute horror that I'm sure Nikki felt as she was buried alive. - Nate 09:05, 14 May 2008 (PDT)

I like An Other Dark Agenda, and any part that sounds like that like in The Good Shepard. And also the percussion of Juliette is Lost, witch is also used during the series seval times--Rod 18:16, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

S1: Locke'd Out Again/Parting Words; S2: All Is Forgiven Except Charlie; S3: Under The Knife/Looking Glass Half Full; S4: The Constant/Bobbing For Freighters --DesmondExMachina 14:29, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

"Hollywood and Vines", and any adaptation thereof. —Milo_fett3.2...million...dollars. 20:18, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

Back cover scans Edit

  • I've been wanting to add back cover scans below the front cover for a while but my scanner is playing up. When i picked up the season 3 soundtrack yesterday it reminded me to post here. Just a suggestion, I think it would look good :) Anfield Fox 06:24, 18 May 2008 (PDT)
  • I'd like to see that here too. Way to little graphics imo.--Mc peko 10:14, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

Season 4 Soundtrack Edit

Any idea when they'll be releasing the Season Four soundtrack? -Nate 11:51, 26 November 2008 (PST)

If they release it.. Most likely May 2009 (the third soundtrack came out May 2008 so thats where that guess comes from) --Lewis-Talk-Contribs 05:30, 27 November 2008 (PST)
We should get some news around March hopefully. - TheAma1 01:09, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
It's here! Just got the press release. I'm putting it online right now. - TheAma1 20:17, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

Where are we getting the track/episode info? It sure seems like "Bodies and Bungalows" would be the attack on Dharmaville in "The Shape of Things to Come" not anything from "Meet Kevin Johnson." --DesmondExMachina 14:16, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

We'll find out when the CD comes out, right now people are just guessing. I have no idea why all of the track descriptions have been added now. They're simply guesses and user opinion until we know for sure where the tracks appear in episodes. Unless someone has obtained a copy of it early of course.--Baker1000 19:29, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

Split Edit

I vote for a split. Article is getting too long. Episodes, novels, etc. have separate pages. CD releases should too. This will also let us add some more images without difficulties.--Mc peko 10:17, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

  • i agree

What should the titles of the articles be?--Mc peko 15:05, 20 May 2009 (UTC)

What we use for the infoboxes should be used for the page titles. E.g Lost (Original Television Soundtrack), Lost Season 2 (Original Television Soundtrack) etc.--Baker1000 19:03, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
  • This sounds reasonable. AGREE to the merge. LOST-Figg 09:28, November 23, 2009 (UTC)
    • Actually this is to split them up, not merge, haha. Still agree though?--Baker1000 13:11, November 23, 2009 (UTC)

Cat.# Edit

  • These are the catalog numbers for the four first scores:
    • Catalog #: 302 066 721 2
    • Catalog #: 302 066 759 2
    • Catalog #: 302 066 892 2
    • Catalog #: 302 066 964 2

May I add them to the article(s)?

--Mc peko 10:22, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

I tried to add them to Infobox Album. Didn't work. Can someone with access to the template add this?--Mc peko 12:00, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

Selections? Edit

The article says that these soundtracks contain selections from the corresponding season. So these soundtracks do not contain all the music featured in the corresponding season, just some?--Richardtalk 15:43, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

I don't think they do contain all of the music. Certainly if you listen to the music in the episodes you will hear a few scores that never made it onto the soundtrack. I know that the score which plays through-out "Cabin Fever" as Locke's theme has been played before (season 1 or 2 I think) but it was never released on a soundtrack.--Baker1000 12:49, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

Long article Edit

I notice the article is getting quite long now that we have the credits and the note from the producers on each soundtrack. I was wondering if we should take the decision to separate the page into an article for each season like we have for the DVDs? There are another two soundtracks to be released so the page will be even longer by the end of the show.--Baker1000 16:10, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

  • Strong yes. I already have pointed this out above.--Mc peko 16:00, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
    • Oops, didn't notice that. I have now nominated it for discussion, hopefully more people will voice their opinion.--Baker1000 19:37, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
  • Super!--Mc peko 19:45, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
Yes Sounds good to me. -- Graft   talk   contributions  23:07, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
Yes as it will also give us a chance to do more detailed trivial info on each article like analyzing song titles and similar. --Orhan94 00:25, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
  • Since this has been open for ages and all we have had are votes in favour and no one who is opposed to the split, I guess I'll take it upon myself to start splitting the articles.--Baker1000 00:32, December 28, 2009 (UTC)
  • Thanks. Great work.--Mc peko 15:45, December 29, 2009 (UTC)

Layout Edit

  • The latest layout is better.--Mc peko 10:27, April 3, 2010 (UTC)
  • Baker1000 said: "We don't need the table to stretch right down the page, we just need it to act like a portal. Discuss the change on the talk page and tell me why it would work out better." With now 5 soundtrack listings, the horizontal table stretches outside of the content area on smaller screen resolutions. You have to keep that in mind. A vertical table is neater and will be future-proof, akin to the DVD page. --Sujay123 00:08, May 8, 2010 (UTC)
    • The funny thing is I was considering doing the same to the DVD page. I admit I didn't think about the size for smaller screens. But how about we just make the images smaller? Say, 150px or something like that? It makes the table smaller too. Either that, or we stack it 3 and 3 (a blank space for S6). The problem I have with the way you made it is that it just makes a long article that people have to scroll down to get to the last one. Better than scrolling sideways, yes, but as I said I didn't think about that. The whole reason we moved everything off of this article into separate soundtrack pages is because it was too long. We don't need to have it in a list table, we should have it as a grid because it's easier to access.--Baker1000 21:30, May 8, 2010 (UTC)
      • I don't think having it be a long page will be much of a problem. There will be at most 6 soundtracks, maybe 7? If people are here for what they want to see, scrolling won't ever be a problem. However, 3 by 3 sounds good to me. Sounds like a reasonable compromise. Sujay123 22:43, May 11, 2010 (UTC)
        • Done. Let me know what you think :)--Baker1000 12:46, May 15, 2010 (UTC)
          • Looks great. --Sujay123 16:42, May 15, 2010 (UTC)

Lost: Via Domus Soundtrack Edit

Although it was never put on CD, I know that there was the official Lost: Via Domus soundtrack available online for download. Shouldn't it be on here as well? Johnlanigan 20:41, October 13, 2010 (UTC)

Sure. Add it. --- Balk Of Fametalk 21:21, October 13, 2010 (UTC)
