Definition of Shooting Edit

Hey can I get a definition, I wanted to know if Danielle shooting ben with the crossbow would count? Or if it is just shootings from guns? Thanks --Lewis-Talk-Contribs 01:49, 11 October 2007 (PDT)

• Just making it up as we go along. I was thinking more firearms, because it's such a common television plot device. We could make a subsection for non firearms where we would normally also use the verb "shoot", which might also include traps that shoot deadly projectiles (so as not to be a slippery slope to Ethan Rom throwing a rock at Jin.) Also in the future as the list develops, we might think of reorganizing by event, because in some cases, one person shoots, and the other doesn't, (such as Ana-Lucia shooting Libby while Sayid didn't shoot, or Ana-Lucia not shooting Ben, but Michael shooting Ana) and currently these are listed in different sections (although for now I'm happy the way it is). Ben's Orders Edit

[Ryan]: That was an order, Tom. We had to follow it. [Tom]: Ben doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. He's lost it. I mean look at what they did to us. Instead of putting 3 bullets in the damned sand, we should have killed them for real.

Ryan wanted to follow orders, Tom wanted to kill them, so if Ben had really ordered it then they would have killed them. It serves no purpose to kill them when they can just fake it, and use them as collateral later on. Hugo815 10:21, 12 October 2007 (PDT)

hm.. this is something that needs to be debated, I took it as Tom not wanting to kill them so HE decided to shoot into the ground, whereas Ryan wanted to follow Ben's orders.. Second opinion please? --Lewis-Talk-Contribs 10:23, 12 October 2007 (PDT)

Hugo815 is correct, Ryan wanted to follow ordes whereas Tom wanted to kill them. Therefore following orders and killing them are opposite. Therefore putting bullets in the sand was Ben's pre-arranged plan.

Table discussion Edit

Just a little proposition about the tables - Would it be a good idea to have different colours for different circumstances.. Like.. Red for "intentinally shot at a target and hit", Blue for "intentionally shot at a target and missed", Green for "Accidentally hit a target" (eg Desmond hitting the Swan computer, although maybe a broader category for that as I think thats the only one that applies), and so on.
