If you can would you fix pages in lostpedia where they list Sam Austen incorrectly as a Sergeant, vice a Sergeant Major. Its a pretty big difference. The abbreviation for Sergeant is Sgt, the abbreviation for Sergeant Major is SGM. I'd suggest using the entire rank name for places where his name needs a rank. HaroO 05:07, 14 September 2006 (PDT)

Service Stripes Edit

I was re-watching What Kate Did and noticed that the service stripes on SGM Austen's sleeves don't make sense. There appear to be six or seven stripes (my TV is elderly), which indicate three years of service each. If he was stationed in Korea until four months before Kate was born, and she says she's 24 years old at the beginning of the episode, then something is wrong somewhere. Father of Jin Edit

Is there any way possible that Sam Austen could be the father of Jin? This idea was posed as a theory and as far as I can determine, it doesn't seem to make any sense. He looks like he is fully Korean.--Joshwoodworth 00:24, March 17, 2010 (UTC)
