Last shot
In the very last shot, there is something strange wrapped around the tree branch directly next to Seth's waist. WHAT IS THAT?! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mrmagic522 (talk • contribs) 2009-05-02T21:33:34.Unanswered Question
Many posted it before, and I think it's a legitimate question: Why did Jack woke up in the jungle instead of the beach? I never heard an answer to this yet and it seems to me quite mysterious, actually reminiscent to Ben in the shape of things to come.--Asian_Dawn 19:56, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
- I believe that it would be because he never actually experienced the crash. I believe Jack was flashed/warped/teleported, whatever lingo pleases you, onto the Island rather than flopping onto. He confirms blacking-out and not being able to remember the crash, I think its because he hasn't actually crashed.Aerieformyhead 19:37, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
- This is a theory. Jack made a plane in this episode. He throw it away. This happens later to Ajira Flight 316 on the Hydra island.--Station7 19:48, September 24, 2009 (UTC)
Main Picture
Although this current picture is featuring Jack, I think that a picture that depicts the opening moments of the entire series would be more fitting. What do you guys think? ODK Talk Sandbox 17:59, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
- I like the current one better. Jimbo the Tubby talk contributions 19:51, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
- There's a mysteriousness to number two that's attractive. I like the new one.--Jim in Georgia Contribs Talk 20:13, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
- I like the current one. That said, I think it would be nice to have an opening moment picture. Is it possible to get a shot when we're looking down at Jack while he's on his back still? I would support a new photo I just wish it were a better one.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dahlia (talk • contribs) . (Because I forgot to sign) Dhalia 21:02, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
- Other than the one on the main page?--Jim in Georgia Contribs Talk 20:57, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
- If there is already one on the main page why do we need another one like it? Dhalia 21:22, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

If anyone wants to use a new picture for the episode, please make sure that the screenshot doesn't have the ABC watermark on it like the current suggestion. Jimbo the Tubby talk contributions 21:19, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
Jack's Eye
(I'm new here and new to wiki's, so I hope I'm doing this right)
Has anyone else noticed the reflection in Jack's eye in the opening scene? Freeze frame it as soon as he opens his eye before his pupil dilates. In the reflection of the pupil part, there appear to be two men. The one on the left has a long face with a mohawk. The one on the right appears closer with a large, long mustache. It's all in black and white. Maybe just my imagination. With the close-up, I figured that there might be some hidden clue here. Even if I'm wrong with what I'm seeing, there DOES appear to be something there - just a bit difficult to make out what it is. --LostFool 01:03, 8 June 2009
- (UTC)My guess is -- if there are people in the reflection -- that they're members of the crew. However, can you get us a screen cap?--Jim in Georgia Contribs Talk 13:56, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry, I don't have that capability at the moment - hoped that someone else might investigate and post one. What I'm seeing does not appear to be a camera setup, etc. - looks like a scene from an old movie.--LostFool 14:31, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
- I took one. --Cassadinechik 20:26, September 24, 2009 (UTC)cassadinechik
Monster
When the monster arrives at the cockpit, there is a bright white light coming through the windows, which is different from the dark, clouds that we are used to seeing from "The Monster" that we have become familiar with over the years. I've seen theories that there are 2 "Monsters", one being the dark one that we have seen that represents Jacob's enemy and another monster that embodies Jacob himself. If this is true, Jacob's "Monster" would probably be white and this might be its first appearance. Some other possible appearances of Jacob's "Monster" are when John Locke sees something in "Walkabout" and when Kate and Juliet are hiding and the "Monster" initiates a series of white, picture-flash-like flashes when it sees Juliet.
