What's the rationale for not simply naming this man "Mr. Avellino"? Vegan T-Rex 20:44, 14 February 2008 (PST)
Accent
Edit
I am Italian and I'd just point out that the character/actor has no accent when he speaks Italian, so it's fair to suppose that Italian is his first language (I mean, he's not italo-american)--Cynewulf 04:16, 18 February 2008 (PST)
Move
Edit
- I say we move the article. He was named in the episode. Fishbiscuits 22:27, 14 February 2008 (PST)
- I second that motion.joebetoblame 22:33, 14 February 2008 (PST)
- I don't see a reason either. "Italian man" sounds ridiculous, considering Sayid called the guy by his name. I actually tried the page as just "Avelino" (why even include "Mr"?), but both are ok by me. -. Grillage .- 23:44, 14 February 2008 (PST)
- I agree, the article should be renamed.--Rocky Raccoon 04:58, 15 February 2008 (PST)
- It should indeed be renamed. --Cypher 05:04, 15 February 2008 (PST)
- Rename, we have a real name. --Minderbinder 06:56, 15 February 2008 (PST)
- Real name=real article name. --Milo Work Man 07:16, 15 February 2008 (PST)
- Rename - Real name trumps description in all cases. Even if Mr. Avellino turned out to be wrong, we named Ben Linus as Henry Gale until we learned his real name. Wikistoriographer 08:19, 15 February 2008 (PST)
- Rename: Sayid named him Mr Avelino and he was surprised by him knowing his 'real name'. I agree on renaming this article. -- Steff talk contribs email 08:35, 15 February 2008 (PST)
- Rename: Just do it. - TheAma1 08:42, 15 February 2008 (PST)
- Rename and redirect from The Italian Man (however I think Avelino is just an alias) --scribbleink 09:04, 15 February 2008 (PST)
- Renamed per consensus in the discussion. I'm happy to perform these obvious renames, but I don't always find these discussions quickly, so please drop me a note on my talk page if you want a rapid rename on an article. Robert K S 09:39, 15 February 2008 (PST)
Anagrams
Edit
I know this is done to death but "Mr. Avelino" => "Normal Evil". Or I suppose "Live Normal" not great, but good. --Frieze 12:35, 15 February 2008 (PST)
