Book's Demise? Edit

We haven't heard anything about Our Mutual Friend since season 2... I suppose we are to assume it was destroyed during the hatch implosion. But wouldn't one think that Desmond would be upset about this? He hasn't mentioned it at all, but then, his mind has been on other things.
