Talk:One of Them
From Lostpedia
I found this on another website talking about the counter symbols. They are egyptian hierogliphs meaning Cause to die.

Where is this originally from?
Where is this Information from? I searched a lot on the Web but found nothing regarding the symbols on digit 3 and 5 (flame and stick). And what I found on the other ones conflicts with this theorie about "cause to die"...
This theory comes from http://lost.cubit.net/investigations.php (see #043)

The director
I just have to give my props to Stephen Williams, the director of this episode. The scenes, the matchcuts, the colours and everything just clicks, especially in the flashback. In almost every scene, there are few magical frames that are just like good photographs, amazing. It's been a while since I've seen this kind of camera use on a TV program. --skks 11:55, 20 March 2006 (PST)
Zeke gave Sayid the money?
The guy who gave Sayid the money in his flashback at the end of the interogation looks like Zeke. It's tough when you compare images but when you hear their two voices they sure sound alike.
What are some people's thoughts on this?
Well, I don't think they look anything alike. If you're thinking of the beard, only one of them is real. As far as the voice goes, Joe Inman has Clancy Brown's voice - of this I am sure and I'm pretty sure that Zeke has M.C. Gainey's voice. It would also be safe to assume they'd cast the same guy if the role was the same. --skks 18:54, 17 April 2006 (PDT)
I added the following from my own common knowledge:
- Tariq has various meanings in Arabic. There is a Sura from the Q'uran, it also means "he who pounds at the door" in Arabic. This is the Arabic name of the morning star. Tariq was the name of the Islamic military leader who conquered Spain. It also means a dark path. A contrast to the name of Sayid's Iraqi love Noor, which means light. - Tareek an adjective meaning dark in Arabic is quite different. Other than sounding almost similar. The reason I think it shouldnt be mentioned that Tareek can not be a name of a person on which this trivia is about. --Webkami 07:06, 19 March 2007 (PDT)
- this role was credited as 'Joe inman'. connection to kelvin joe inman perhaps? d'oh.
Shooting locations?
Were the desert scenes in this episode shot in Hawaii, or elsewhere? I realize there was a lot of greenscreen work, but it seems to me like some of this work could not have possibly been done in Hawaii. It would be great if an item in the trivia section of this article would discuss the shooting location(s). Robert K S 08:39, 13 November 2006 (PST)
New Format.
Are we going with this one. I don't think we should, it looks ugly. Too be awfully, over-the-top, cruel I could crap better designs than that. (Note: Exaggerated, stupid comment used for dramatic effect...) -- Dee4leeds talk contribs all 12:09, 29 January 2007 (PST)
- shrug* I did have a feeling I'd get a neg. comment, just not this soon... LOL. Seriously, I dont mind either way; change it back if you want. I just thought as we had pics for every paragraph, we could do it. I personally like it, but hey, everyone's entitled to their opinion. :) And I'd like to see you crap a design out; that would be.. erm... interesting :P -- Lost Soul talk contribs 12:11, 29 January 2007 (PST)
Why "Henry Gale" got captured...
I believe that "Henry" was out in the jungle watching the actual Henry. Upon realizing that real Henry was buried, a big no-no to everyone on the Island, "Henry" went out looking for his grave to extradite the body. When actually searching for the grave, he got caught by one of Rousseau's traps, causing her to trek to the Losties' camp for Sayid. Also, to further show how serious burying bodies is to the Islanders, when Sayid starts interrogating "Henry" about the grave he dug for "his wife", notice how excited "Henry" gets in asking Sayid something to the affect of "Have you lost someone?" I believe "Henry" is highly concerned with who gets buried on the Island and why, for reasons we don't find out til much later, I believe. --Aerieformyhead 13:38, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
