Renaming
Edit
Didn't nominate for the renaming, but I dont mind the proposed rename. (I like the 1st one)--Mistertrouble189 23:32, 16 August 2008 (PDT)
- She was credited by ABC, and so site policy is we can't change her name completely. However, if the name conflicts with other possible searches (I'd imaginei just "Nigerian woman" might), something can be added at the end of the title in brackets, perhaps the episode name or something to identify her like the proposal of saleswoman. --Nickb123 (Talk) 06:56, 18 August 2008 (PDT)
- How about Nigerian woman (Virgin Mary Statues) or Nigerian woman (Statue saleswoman)
- I would have to agree to adding something at the end of her official title, at least for clarification. 'Nigerian Woman' doesn't tell me much. 'Nigerian Woman(Statue saleswoman - or something like that)' tells me a bit more. -- Lost Locke 23:07, 12 October 2008 (PDT)
Hello, Nigerian Women. I like Virgin Mary Statue sales Women. Because It was filmed in Nigera that has to come into play. So keep it the same, short and sweet or (The Nigerian Virgin Mary Statue saleswoman).CC —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Cynthia charles (talk • contribs) 20:08, 21 October 2008.

- Yes I'm Cynthia Charles, That played this character. A disambiguation page is fine with me. Can I add my character as an Other on it also, now that I have fans who wants to know more about my recurring character? - Thanks for stopping by. The rename discussion will take a while, and if we do the disambiguation page route, it won't have a listing to articles not directly relating to a "Nigerian woman". However there is already a link to this page on the Others extras from the article on Cynthia Charles. Could you confirm that all of those appearances are in fact you? BTW to make a signature, just add four tildes like this: ~~~~ (at top left of keyboard), and it turns into a link to your user page. -- Contrib¯ _Santa_ ¯ Talk 22:18, 21 October 2008 (PDT)
- Yes, those are my pages. And yes to the capitalized name change. <Cynthia Charles>(Cynthia Charles 10:13, 31 December 2008 (UTC))

- As nickb123 said, our policy is that we normally name articles by their ABCMedianet-credited character name. Could we just rename to the capitalized proper noun (which it should've been in the first place): "Nigerian Woman"? Then we can change the uncapitalized "Nigerian woman" into a disambiguation page. -- Contrib¯ _Santa_ ¯ Talk 13:40, 21 October 2008 (PDT)
Thankyou. <Cynthia Charles>robin 08:37, 23 October 2008 (PDT)
Shall we come to a conclusion regarding the rename tag? "Nigerian Woman" is fine with me until more Nigerian women come to the picture. Then we can rename it I guess.--Mistertrouble189 15:09, 28 October 2008 (PDT)
- Given no strong arguments in the discussion above to justify overriding LP's standard practice of using ABC Medianet character names for unnamed characters, the article has been renamed, changing only capitalization to reflect the proper noun label of the ABC Medianet character name "Nigerian Woman". Currently the uncapitalized "Nigerian woman" is a redirect. If a clear need arises, it may be changed into a disambiguation page, as noted in the discussion above. -- Contrib¯ _Santa_ ¯ Talk 00:07, 29 October 2008 (PDT)
