Email
Edit
I received an email a few hours ago from ABC. Does somebody know hieroglyphs? http://abc.go.com/media/email/primetime/lost/mysteries/index.html?v1 -- Lucas Benicá | Talk | Email | 23:03, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
- Excellent, looks like they reprinted the Entertainment Weekly ad online. Saves me a job sourcing a copy! --Nickb123 (Talk) 23:16, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
Characters
Edit
Should we make pages on the characters like we did with Conspiracy of Lies? Because ones that I can see needing pages are Olivia's father, Phil's neighbor, and the Nevada college student. Presumably there will be more as it goes on...--Golden Monkey 11:53, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
Maybe under Trivia...
Edit
mention that the neighbor of the man interviewed may in fact refer to the Phil we got to know and hate all throughout last season? Jpooch 11:49, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
suggestion
Edit
As we created articles for the characters from Oceanic 6: A Conspiracy of Lies, should we create ones for the characters from MotU, mainly Phil's neighbor and Olivia's father? --Orhan94 12:19, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
- Yes.--Mc peko 12:57, October 17, 2009 (UTC)
Canonicity
Edit
Do we have any information on whether or not it is canon? Nico 12:25, October 17, 2009 (UTC)
- Only the show (and official podcasts) are canon. I don't like it, but that's what team Darlton say.--Mc peko 12:56, October 17, 2009 (UTC)
But the the episodes of Mysteries of the Universe are located on the ABC website. The American Broadcasting Company (ABC) Inc., is the television and radio network in the United States that first aired and created LOST and the canonical home of LOST.- MRMIKE T C E 14:26, October 17, 2009 (UTC)
- What Darlton said, was the only true canon are the episodes themselves. If we just take a look at our site canon policy for a moment, we consider the information about Hanso from TLE to be canon. That means a least the Alvar Hanso part of this documentary is canon. It also says we consider official ABC website content to be canon, as MRMIKE rightly mentioned. It's on the DVD which is an official ABC release so IMO it should be considered canon.--Baker1000 18:04, October 17, 2009 (UTC)
- Then we need to refine our policy. Official is not the same as canon. Sad. But true.--Mc peko 09:10, October 18, 2009 (UTC)
- The only close example I can think of right now are the Missing Pieces. I know they were written by the writing team and all that, but they were originally released onto the ABC website, then added to the Season 4 DVD. Much like Mysteries of the Universe will be. Have there been any comments about who is actually writing these and overseeing the production of them?--Baker1000 11:33, October 18, 2009 (UTC)
- Having read the canon policy thoroughly, at this point MotU would have to be deemed as semi-canon. This is not to say that a change in that classification to canon is not possible or feasible. This change could occur from input given by Darlton, some other recognized official authority or the owner(s) of this website. Canon or semi-canon, perhaps we are splitting hairs, but we do have some viable and interesting background information regarding the storyline. Presently for myself, I am satisfied with the means justifying the end.- MRMIKE T C E 14:57, October 18, 2009 (UTC)
- In regards to my comment above about comments from TPTB, the article says Damon actually mentioned there would be some "interesting new revelations" in MotU at Comic-Con. So that's at least a little clue that the information given could be canon.--Baker1000 17:21, October 18, 2009 (UTC)
