Fringewiki
Edit
There is actually a number of fringewiki online today, one like fringewiki.info TRUETECH
- Will you stop advertising? I've started a fringe wiki on wikia, but I don't advertise it all the time. So please, stop. -- Sam McPherson T C E 05:15, 16 September 2008 (PDT)
- Sorry...I wasn't necessary trying to advertise, just trying to tell people who have questions about Fringe of the existence of it. This is a discussion page, not the actual article. Sorry if you think I am advetisement... didn't mean too. If you want, you can move this discussion to my talk page because now it belongs more on a talk page than here. Sorry, TRUETECH
- Can't we just throw the finge wiki link onto one of the fringe pages itself incase people want to know. This is like the third or forth page i've seen in the last month that shows fringewiki.info. I'm sure there are lots of people who are trying to find something about the show while on LP so have them all listed on the one link they would search when trying to find out the information, just put it all under Fringe.-- SawBucks Talk Contribs 15:28, 4 December 2008 (PST)

Article name
Edit
The article definitely need to be renamed. "Overlaps between Fringe and Lost" should be the name of a subsection of an article on the show, not the entire article.
Kevrock talk contribs 07:41, 16 September 2008 (PDT)
- I noticed you placed a rename tag on the page. I chose the name for this page based off of the Alias page, Overlaps between Alias and Lost. That page used to be called Alias, but was changed. Since this article is similar to Alias, both articles should have the same name, if you know what I mean. -- #1LostFan talk contribs Lost Wiki 15:52, 17 September 2008 (PDT)
- Article will not be renamed unless there is a strong rationale; precedent exists for Overlaps between Alias and Lost. An acceptable rationale might be relevance to Lostpedia in addition to overlaps in cast, crew, storyline. Sysop remove rename tag if no such rationale posted in a reasonable time.-- Contrib¯ _Santa_ ¯ Talk 04:31, 11 November 2008 (PST)
Article content
Edit
The two shows have the same cast and crew - yeah, but all of JJ's projects do. A passenger was numbered 108 - that is undoubtedly a Lost Easter eggs. But two characters named Charlie and John... do you know how many shows have characters named Charlie and John? For this to stand on its own, it'll need A LOT more content than that.
Kevrock talk contribs 07:41, 16 September 2008 (PDT)
- True. The cast and crew could also be contained on the Cast crossovers page. -- Sam McPherson T C E 16:27, 16 September 2008 (PDT)
- I started this page, knowing that it will be expanded as time goes by. We have only had one episode (two tonight), so obviously, there is not a lot of information on this page yet. -- #1LostFan talk contribs Lost Wiki 16:45, 16 September 2008 (PDT)
- Overlaps should go in THIS article, and NOT in the cast overlap article, which has some strong readibility issues, and may be up for deletion soon. Overlaps are the central purpose for this article after all, and this is the specific article while cast crossovers is the general article. If anything, the cast crossover article should have a MAIN template that redirects back to the primary content in this article. :

- The sections "Shared character names" and "Numbers" are just silly. These are inevitable in anything. There are only so many names available. there will also inevitably be some of the same numbers because we only have 10 digits to use in the decimal system. It is nonsense to ascribe meaning to this by enumerating the coincidences. LOST-WCFrancis 00:17, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
Is this needed?
Edit
Sure, it has some of the same cast, but JJ Abrams likes using the same people. And the rest of the crossovers are almost amazingly inane. The names...Charlie, John, Walter? Those are all common names and probably not intended to mirror Lost. The themes are also really pointless. It has...animals in it, someone has visions, and someone has parent issues? Those are very, very broad "overlaps". The 108 is more aptly a easter egg. What's next? Cloverfield showed a DHARMA logo, so should it get a page listing really broad "overlaps" with Lost? The biggest link is that Fringe apparently has a DHARMA rip-off.
So in short, all the real eggs and stuff could be put into the "references" articles. In my view, there's no need for this article. Corvus lizard 14:21, 7 November 2008 (PST)
- At first glance, I'm agreed that most of the examples are largely meaningless. I'm not sure the executive producers being in common merits the creation of an article either, although a more general list article of projects by the Lost executive producers might have some encyclopedic interest. -- Contrib¯ _Santa_ ¯ Talk 05:00, 11 November 2008 (PST)
- The fact an Oceanic ticket featured in Fringe is fairly cool but .. a child called Ben? Is this relevant? This page should be stripped of useless information.. but I wouldn't be at all surprised if more Lost references popped up as the show continued. Integrated (User / Talk) 09:08, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
- I don't think this article has a place on lostpedia. Most of the examples seem coincidental, and the ones that aren't could be easily mentioned in the "trivia" section of the articles they deal with.-- Roobydo talk contribs 23:42, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
Rename
Edit
I believe this page should be renamed so it could cover everything including the cast crossovers, theories, overlaps, and everything in the following. Anything that has to do with Fringe that could also relate in any way to LOST should be included on this page, unless it already exists somewhere else, in the case of that this article should be deleted.-- SawBucks Talk Contribs 15:35, 4 December 2008 (PST)

"Both companies' missions are to create a better world for tomorrow and mankind through research in various areas" is NOT a "striking similarity". That's a fairly universal premise in both fiction and real life. --- Balk Of Fame ♪ talk 18:27, December 10, 2010 (UTC)
