Sorting Jack, Kate, Claire and Aaron Edit

Jack and Kate raise Aaron in the future, yet Claire is Aaron's mother. So how would you sort this out. We will need more tables with the same last names (Austin and Shephard). And we need to add Claire (and Carole) to the Shephard table that includes Christian.

Discussion - Format Change... Edit

  • While I do agree that the version you have is smaller and easier to edit, the format I am suggesting is all of the family trees' combined onto one image to clean the article up a bit. Because, let's face it, the article is not the "very clean" right now. I think that if we kind of mix and match and combine all of the family trees' or at least some of them. Like for the Others and the Losties we have different ones, but you get the idea. The image I have posted is just a very small piece of the pie.Jinx 17:57, 9 June 2008 (PDT)

Let's Use Tables: I think we're getting too far ahead of ourselves. This page, like every page, would better be easily available to edits. Please consider the format in my Sandbox. • Well, tables would be nice, but the article would get very long, perhaps we could have different articles for like middle section, tail section, etc. Or we could just put a family tree for the person at the end of every characters article, which would make it much easier. I think that if we do do (:P) the format you suggested then we should just have a dotted line, not a dotted line and a straight line.   • I agree, the tables were just a suggestion about the format of the trees, not the article. I think every character should have a family tree, centered on that character (that's why the example in my Sandbox shows one for Jack Shephard, not the Shephard family), up to 2 or 3 steps away, and every other character on that tree would have a link to the character's own tree. This would enable navigation through the relations of the characters. And we could have an alternative tree for each character too, which would be a broad one including all family members. But the only way to do this would be using tables (we can't just make a family tree image for each character) so I waited for confirmation on this format before I'd go on suggesting the character-based trees. And the lines stand for: Single horizontal line for girlfriend/fiancee, single dashed line for ex-girlfriend/ex-fiancee, double line for married, single line and dashed line for divorced. I'm kind of...new so I really don't know how to go about making tables, if you could put a quick example, we could start working on the various trees. Kwon Edit

I believe, the question mark must be added next to Mr. Kwon, as it is not really clear if he is Jin's biological father. And the Lostpedia mentiones him as an "adopted father" as well. --V-vk 11:51, February 21, 2010 (UTC)

Discuss- Portal images Edit

I made the Shephard/Littleton and the Hume/Widmore trees samples of my idea, that we use portal images above the names in the tables as it makes the article more appealing and more interesting. I propose that we don't use any other kind of images except the portal (122x90) because otherwise the tables look weird with extra white space. If people agree to this we should start uploading the missing portal images and start updating the other trees. --Orhan94 00:23, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Remove Karl Edit

Organize? Edit

I love how the new family trees look, but the order of them on the page seems a little random. Do we want to alphabetize them or something, maybe? Or maybe put a list of characters at the top that link to their family tree? I don't know.
