dream screencap request[]

  • The opening dream sequence with Jin speaking english, and the blinking chicken suit is one of the truly classic images from the entire second season.

Could someone take a nice screencap of that scene to add to this article? ¯¯¯_Santa_¯¯¯14:03, 16 May 2006 (PDT)

Done. But I didn't see it blinking? -- LOSTonthisdarnisland 20:21, 19 May 2006 (PDT)

The pit section[]

The portion of the synopsis that should explain about Eko and Ana-Lucia letting the boys out of the pit is totally wrong, it gives a synopsis of the middle of the previous episode instead. In fact, the synopsis glosses over much of Michael, Jin, Sawyer and the tail-section survivors experiences in this episode. Can someone clean it up when they get a chance? Jeff 17:24, 20 March 2007 (PDT) If it hasn't been hit by the weekend I'll try to re watch the episode and give it a go.   Hooper   talk    contribs    email   10:08, 22 March 2007 (PDT)

I've been having a big old go at this article and am now working on that bit. Hopefully will have the final part done by Tuesday night, if not sooner...--TechNic|talk|conts 13:20, 9 April 2007 (PDT)

Picture request[]

We could do with some more pics for this article now that I have added lots more text. Maybe one of Sayid and Jack in the Swan's foundations? And we'll need more for the "tail-section beach" section too when I have finished re-writing that. Probably the guys in the pit and the Tailies in the Arrow would be nice. Cheers.--TechNic|talk|conts 13:18, 9 April 2007 (PDT)

Outsiders[]

Johnny's line, "Not only will I stay gold, Ponyboy, I will drink to it", is a reference to S.E. Hinton's book, The Outsiders. (The main character, Ponyboy, recites a Robert Frost poem called "Nothing Gold Can Stay", to the other main character, also ironically called Johnny.) Should I put this up? WeirdAl 07:11, 18 May 2007 (PDT)

Good spot. That seems to be a pretty direct reference, so I think it's worth putting up. Maybe also worth noting that in the Coppola movie of The Outsiders, Stevie Wonder's "Stay Gold" is used in the soundtrack.--TechNic|talk|conts 07:18, 18 May 2007 (PDT)

Blooper, Missing, Appearing, Disapearing Ring[]

I just re watched this episode and noticed that when Sun is burying the bottle with the messages she was not wearing her ring at first, then it was there just before she puts the bottle in the hole then it's gone again.

I know they were showing us that she buried the the ring with the bottle, but she should have had the ring on in the first shot.--Boris42 08:57, 14 June 2007 (PDT)

I just now caught this and added it as a continuity error. --Andreabt 20:24, 15 April 2008 (PDT)

Cynthia Watros[]

"Cynthia Watros joins the cast as a regular in this episode and appears for the first time as Libby, who was played by a non-speaking extra in the previous two episodes." Is a citation needed? If you look at the end of Adrift and the start of Orientation, it's clear that her, Sam Anderson and Kimberly Joseph are played by other people who look similar. They have no lines and also are uncredited: they'd have to be credited if they were on it earlier. Plus I recall people saying on the DVDs that this was the first episode Cynthia Watros actually worked on, so yeah, it wasn't her in 2x02 and 2x03. --Golden Monkey 04:19, November 30, 2009 (UTC)

I'm hesitant to trust the rationale of "if you look, you can tell it's clearly not her" because that's been proven faulty reasoning with Malcolm David Kelley uncredited as Walt in Meet Kevin Johnson. Everybody insisted that it wasn't him, until he gave an interview saying that it was. If there was something on a DVD somewhere that can verify this, then I would say that we change the entry to "According to <DVD EXTRA NAME> on the DVDs, this was the first episode Cynthia Watros worked on." As a "sub-bullet point" in the trivia section.  Jimbo the Tubby  talk  contributions  21:24, November 30, 2009 (UTC)

Just look at still shots. It is not Cynthia Watros. Unlike the Walt in MKJ it looks nothing like her. Bernard more so, by the way. Plus she wasn't credited until this episode; why the heck would Cynthia Watros show up to appear as a extra who was never seen up close, especially without credit? --Golden Monkey 22:41, April 6, 2010 (UTC)

Last main character added until "The End" ?[]

I'm confused by the Production Note which states, "This is the first time (and the last time until "The End") that a main character was added to the cast in an episode other than the season premiere." Which main character was added to the cast in "The End"? Would that even be possible? If that's not the case, if this note is just meant to say that this ep is the last time a main character is added to the show in mid-season, then the remark in parenthesis is unnecessary. --Captain Infinity (talk) 20:14, February 22, 2013 (UTC)

The characters added were all the previous main cast who had come back, plus the recurring characters such as Pierre Chang, Eloise Hawking, Penny, Christian and even Rose and Bernard. They were all credited alongside the usual main cast, meaning they were added to the cast list for the episode. I guess it was just to give thanks to all who had given their time to keep reappearing throughout the series. It gives a list in the trivia section of the episode article. The sentence is incorrect though, it's not the first time a character was added to the main cast outside of a premiere episode. Claire was never credited in episodes she didn't appear in during Season 1, but was added as a main cast member for episodes she did appear in. She only became a full cast member upon her return from being kidnapped in "Special", likely because they knew she would be absent for a portion of the season before that. So technically, that is the first episode in which a cast member is added besides a season premiere, though you could argue it was "Confidence Man", because Claire wasn't credited as main cast in the previous episode, but was added back to the list when she appeared in "Confidence Man". I'll remove the part about this episode being the first, I don't see a reason why we should note any of the season 1 episodes as the first since the whole "only adding cast at the start of a season" precedent wasn't established simply because it was only in season 1. This episode was however the last to add a main cast member mid-season. (interesting fact)--Baker1000 (talk) 20:56, February 22, 2013 (UTC)
