- Delete or move to Prison -- I didn't nominate this article, and we haven't heard from the nominator yet, but this article as it currently exists is mostly redundant with Prisoner and hostage situations, and makes no effort to distinguish its scope from that article. The only non-redundant aspects are cases of true institutional prisons, such as Sawyer being in Jail, Kate being in the Marshal's custody, or Jack being in prison for a night after assaulting his father. There might be room to make a "law enforcement" or "prisons" article, but defined in such a way it does not overlap significantly with other extant articles. -- Contrib¯ _Santa_ ¯ Talk 23:02, 30 October 2008 (PDT)
- I agree to merge, I nominated this article after voting on the merging of abductions and kidnapings, because more than half of this article could be found on Prisoner and hostage situations, therefore making it a reudant article.--Orhan94 04:10, 31 October 2008 (PDT)
- Definite merge: Considerable overlap. --Nickb123 (Talk) 17:55, 14 February 2009 (UTC)

This article lists dozens of examples of imprisonment but just two, at most, of slavery, and those are also examples of imprisonment. --- Balk Of Fame ♪ talk 00:06, September 9, 2011 (UTC)
