Questionable Statement by Jack Shepard
Jack makes this statement from the witness stand...
JACK: Um..on September 22, 2004, Kate (sighs, smiling) --Ms. Austen and I were both passengers on Oceanic Flight 815, which crash-landed on an island in the South Pacific.
While Kate is on trial in the Flash Forward, Jack is testifying. Jack mentions that the first time he met Kate was after Oceanic 815 crash-landed in the South Pacific. Wasn’t it common knowledge that the plane crashed in the Indian Ocean?? The wreckage was located in the Sunda Trench and the Oceanic Six traveled to an small island in this area of the Indian Ocean. Is this a mistake in the writing for Jack to say this? Wouldn't everyone in the courtroom look puzzled if he were to say Pacific Ocean rather than Indian Ocean? Quite a big difference in locations.
