Merge
Edit
This should be merged with Jacob's house. There isn't a lot of detail on this page that could easily be put into the Jacob's house article.--Phil (talk) 11:46, 11 May 2007 (PDT)
- Merge: per Phil --Nickb123 (Talk) 10:05, 12 May 2007 (PDT)
- Comment: Note that we have individual articles for Paintings (Widmore) and Ben's_Painting, but not for Thomas' paintings. It might do to go through the disambig paintings as well as Category:Items and come up with a consistent rationale how to treat these items. On one hand since the location (jacob's house) has an article then merging makes sense. On the other hand this is a significant item that was obviously written into the script, and it would make sense to categorize this article as a separate member of category:items. -- Contrib¯ _Santa_ ¯ Talk 13:08, 12 May 2007 (PDT)
- Merge, but I also agree with Santa --EXCALIBUR
- Do not merge as per my rationale above for consistency in dealing with important category:Items; c.f.: individual articles for minor items such as:
- Paintings (Widmore)
- Ben's_Painting
- Transceiver
- White tennis shoe.
- Ho`oulu Lāhui document
- Joshua Tree print
- The Ho'oulu Lahui document and Joshua Tree print are also utterly minor items that like Jacob's painting were found in a larger setting that already has an article (e.g. DHARMA van and The Swan), and we know for sure the Ho'oulu Lahui document was NOT written into the script, and was just an error of props or set dressing. Furthermore, the white tennis shoe is utterly minor, but the rationale was that it was explicitly identified in the script and was not random set dressing, which to me is a great reason for keeping an article. Regarding Jacob's painting, you can bet that to commission a new painting of this dog that it was also identified in the script, and therefore has significance. A separate article also makes for a convenient place for theories, of which there will be several. Keep. -- Contrib¯ _Santa_ ¯ Talk 13:35, 13 May 2007 (PDT)
- Keep due to our other art-related props. --Blueeagleislander 00:20, 16 May 2007 (PDT)
"Jacob's painting"
Edit
Should this article be renamed? Given that from what we saw in the season 6 finale, the cabin might not be linked to Jacob in the way it was previously assumed, and thus the painting might have no relation to Jacob whatsoever. Fnool 15:15, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
There's no proof that the painting has relevance to Jacob.--Jim in Georgia Contribs Talk 14:22, May 26, 2010 (UTC)
"Cabin painting" or something similar. --Blueeagleislander 14:23, May 26, 2010 (UTC)
