anger management class

IMDB shows credits for Michael Bowen only for episodes Three Minutes and Live Together, Die Alone.

  • And at least for me he doesnt look like the guy from the class...--Soul Provider 09:23, 12 June 2006 (PDT)

I think Sawyer is going to use his con man skills against Pickett in Season 3...he'll go along with the program for a while, then pull a fast one on Pickett in the style of Tom Sawyer and the picket fence (like maybe the way the POWs in "Stalag 17" distracted the fat guard from the antenna by inviting him to join their volleyball game). Originally, I thought Sawyer would somehow be tied in with Tom (aka Bluebeard aka Zeke aka Mr. Friendly) in this way, but Tom seems a little too sharp to fall for it. --afs123 23:51, 10 September 2006 (CST).

Is there meant to be nothing on Pickett? Even just a line saying he is an active member of the Others taken by Tom to catch Michael, and was present at Pala Ferry. --The Smiley-Faced Balloon 08:32, 4 October 2006 (PDT)

Yup, let's rename! :) I love it... we'll have full bios on the Others soon. --PandoraX 21:05, 11 October 2006 (PDT)

rename to Danny Pickett. see also comments in Talk:Danny (Pickett) --kaini. 19:33, 11 October 2006 (PDT)

So.. is someone going to rename the article?  ODK Talk   Sandbox 17:12, 12 October 2006 (PDT)

Should it not be Daniel Pickett? I don't know of anyone with the legal name of Danny and I know of no other full name that can be shortened to 'Danny'. -Next362 06:14, 13 October 2006 (PDT)

  • There are plenty of instances where what used to be shortened names are now used as actual ones, e.g. John, Jimmy, Van, Jack

I hate Pickett

He's a coward. I'd like to see him in a no-holds-barred cage match with Sawyer. He can't use his gun, he can't fall back on his tremenedous technological and manpower advantage over Sawyer. He always picks on Sawyer, but he and Sawyer both know full well that if you level the playing field--no guns, no tasers, no phony pacemakers--Sawyer would wipe the floor with him. I sincerely hope to see this happen in February. :) C.m.Nov. 9, 2006

  • I'm with you! Go Sawyer! Should it be a regular cage match, or Hell in a Cell?  ;-) --Amberjet11 12:44, 9 November 2006 (PST)
  • Yeah, it would be nice to watch an equal fight between Sawyer and Danny. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Cordell (talkcontribs), 20:21, 15 December 2006 (UTC).
Update: Yay, Pickett's dead!!!C.m. 07:30, 8 February 2007 (PST)

Not "sent"

Let's clear one thing up. Pickett was not "sent" to kill Sawyer. Killing Sawyer is Pickett's own personal agenda; no one sent him but himself. C.m.Nov. 9, 2006

  • Agreed. It seems the only other, well, Other who knows Pickett wants to kill Sawyer is Juliet. And she's not very high on the preservation of human life, from what I've noticed. --Amberjet11 14:24, 9 November 2006 (PST)
Actually, I think it's common knowledge among the Others that Pickett hates Sawyer and wants to kill him. Tom mentions this to Benjamin (I forget which episode)--to which Ben replies, "he can wait." Also, Pickett seems to have a young sidekick, that kid who comes with him down to the attempted execution. That kid would know, too. And, Kate notices--she says to Sawyer, "I see the way he looks at you," meaning, she sees the hatred and the wish for revenge. Kate is not an other, of course, but she sees what they all see. I think it's interesting that Pickett chooses to go (try) to kill Sawyer when Ben is out of comission. There is of course strategic value to the Others in keeping Sawyer alive (for now), but Pickett is blinded by his hatred and is oblivious to such concerns. Come to think of it, I bet Pickett will be killed by the Others. C.m.Nov. 9, 2006
Update: snuffed by Juliet on the beach! Not quite what I had predicted--I had a feeling Ben would be the one who killed Pickett, or at least ordered his death.C.m. 09:49, 8 February 2007 (PST)

Is his name really Danny?

In I Do at approximatley 11:00 minutes into the episode Juliet and "Pickett" are arguing about some kind of schedule (probably Ben's Surgery) being bumped up. In response to "Pickett" saying "It's stupid" Juliet says "No, MICHAEL, It's the way it is" So its either a blooper or a big breakthrough by me! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Baseball315125 (talkcontribs), 00:28, 25 November 2006 (UTC).

Blooper more than likely, as Michael is the actors first name. I'm gonna check this though. -- Plkrtn  talk  contribs  email  16:39, 24 November 2006 (PST)
  • I wrote the transcript for I Do (click for link), and she definitely did not say "No, Michael, It's the way it is.", relisten to it, I have listened to this section several times. Much of it is unintelligible due to the fact that it is in distance and not meant to be understood by the audience. When you listen, what she says is "It's the way it is [unintelligible]." I could see how someone might interpret this as "Michael", but to my ears she sounded like she was saying "my call" or something along those lines, as in she was calling the shots and that's why she goes to Kate. It could have been a number of other things too, so if someone has CC, please clarify, but I'm fairly certain that it's not Michael. --PandoraX 11:17, 20 December 2006 (PST)

Upcoming Episodes

I wasn't sure about adding this before, but looking at Cindy's talk page, it seems alright to me. --Mr. Crabby (Talk) 18:30, 18 January 2007 (PST)

Basically we don't know if that part is even going to air on television. Or if it is going to be the next Little Girl. Plus it is a spoiler (sort of).--CaptainInsano 18:41, 18 January 2007 (PST)

To quote the spoiler policy (which may change at any given moment): "Plot summaries from ABC, promos for the show, and the Official Lost Podcast are not considered spoilers by Lostpedia and don't require spoiler warnings." Although I disagree about the spoiler warning part, I agree that we can put spoilers from ABC promos. I hope I'm not sounding obnioxious, so please tell me if I am, but I think upcoming episodes should stay in the article. --Mr. Crabby (Talk) 18:46, 18 January 2007 (PST)

That is why I said sort of. I don't think we should because we don't know if it will air on television.--CaptainInsano 19:06, 18 January 2007 (PST)

First Appearance

I think "Three Minutes" should be his first appearance. After all, we saw only his arm, and we thought it was Alex who brought Kate out.  ODK Talk   Sandbox 14:51, 19 January 2007 (PST)

You can change it if you feel neccesary, but Eko's article lists his first appearance as Adrift, so I thought the same concept should be applied here. --Mr. Crabby (Talk) 14:53, 19 January 2007 (PST)

Well, Eko's first appearance really was in the end of "Adrift", we had a full view of his body.  ODK Talk   Sandbox

Should is he a member of Dharma really be there? Surely it doesn't apply just to him but to all members of the Others? So the question should go on their unanswered questions section THE MONSTER .

Why Kill Sawyer?

This is a question that has plagued me for sometime. Not only because I don't know the answer but because people attribute it to the death of his wife. I don't get this theory: 1 he was plane nasty to Sawyer before his wife's death and 2 what part did Sawyer play in his wifes death. My opinion: Pickett has no reason to kill Sawyer but he is sadistic and wants to for fun. THE MONSTER .

Pckett is attacking Sawyer because:

1. Sawyer was rude to him even before Colleen's death. 2. Colleen was killed by a Lostie and so to Pickett Sawyer represents the Oceanic Flight 815 tribe.

It's kind of like what the Losties did to Ben. Ben hadn't killed any survivors, yet his fellow Others did. --Mr. Crabby (Talk) 09:02, 27 January 2007 (PST)

"Ben hadn't killed any survivors"--that's highly debatable. Perhaps Ben hadn't personally, physically killed any Survivor's with his own hands or weapons, but the murderers Goodwin and Ethan Rom were certainly acting on his behalf and under his direction.C.m. 09:49, 8 February 2007 (PST)
Well as we now know, Ethan was acting on his own accord, and it was fairly obvious that Goodwin killed Nathan out of desperation. Intriguing... Evil-pineapples 14:10, 29 April 2007 (PDT)
We still don't know much about Ethan. There has (very strangely) never been a flashback showing what happened with Charlie in the jungle. Scott's death is even stranger because he was killed within a guarded perimeter. Goodwin did act on his own, but its unexplained in his case why he stayed with the tailies long after the list was made and the people (except Cindy) were taken. Dharmatel4 14:31, 29 April 2007 (PDT)
Perhaps I'm getting too romantic here, or too speculatory, but I always had the impression that Goodwin had a thing for Ana-Lucia. Until "One of Us" threw a monkey wrench into my theory. But you never know.  Evil-pineapples  talk  contribs
  • I always interpreted it this way: It's a psychological rivalry that exists between them because of personality differences. Sawyer is the polar opposite of Pickett, because he listens to no man, and plays to his own rules. Pickett is a lackey for Ben, or Him, or whoever. He's a "little boss" who gets responsibility over a small piece of the puzzle (i.e. the quarry). Sawyer doesn't have to answer to anyone, and isn't intimidated by physical violence, which is the only way that Pickett wields any power or control in this world. The only thing he has going in his life is his love of Colleen, so when that is taken away from him, the outlet for his rage is naturally going to be Sawyer, who he resents anyway because of the personality issues (as opposed to taking it out on Jack or Kate). --PandoraX 09:17, 27 January 2007 (PST)
I think that's exactly it. I think Pickett feels (felt) humiliated by the mere fact of Sawyer's existence: a guy who is wild and free and indominitable, and who is more of a man than Pickett.C.m. 09:49, 8 February 2007 (PST)
  • This conversation is pretty much over, but I actually always thought that Pickett provided the kind of man Sawyer could become. He is a lot like an older Sawyer. He's brutal, humourous, and while he's smart he's often blinded by a mission of vengeance that makes no sense and hurts himself the most. If Sawyer doesn't change his tune, he could easily become a bitter Danny Pickett.- The Talented Mr Rom

Really Dead?

Yeah I know he was shot to pieces, but does anybody think there is a chance the others will attempt to use Jack or something to operate on him? Very speculative but it's what they did with Colleen? Then again this is a different sitch lol. --lewisg 11:25, 10 February 2007 (PST)
