I happen to have the same guitar os Charlie (coincidentally of course), and yes it is an Ovation

FYI...It is LYRACHORD(which has similar properties of fibreglass, not plastic), not lycrachord, and the tops of Ovations are Spruce, not HPL particle board. I know, I own 4 of them.
