Whoever has suggested to delete this article, you can't delete it before I've had time to even complete it. Johnlanigan 00:39, May 25, 2010 (UTC)
- I did and if i could id delete it right now, you made this without a decision being reached when there is an identical portal elsewhere. -- B1G CZYGS Talk Contribs 00:43, May 25, 2010 (UTC)
- Why so harsh? I'm not creating a portal. I would just appreciate the kindness of seeing a new article through before it's antagonized. Thanks. Johnlanigan 00:44, May 25, 2010 (UTC)
- Plus there's no need to have this article. Just redirect the Flash-Sideways Characters page when we rename those. This is just unnecessary hassle, duplicating articles and everything.--Tim Thomason 00:46, May 25, 2010 (UTC)
What I'm trying to do is not make this article about the flash sideways. I'm trying to make it focus on the afterlife, meaning that it shows any character that has experienced something after dying, which includes Charlie when his ghost visited Hurley on the mainland, and Ben's mom when she visited him on the island. Johnlanigan 00:56, May 25, 2010 (UTC)
I'm not really sure how this page is redundant. This is the only page on the site that shows every character who has appeared after their death and in what forms. No other article does this, and its a good use of information. Johnlanigan 17:39, May 25, 2010 (UTC)
I think they were all already dead on the island, so disagree with the entire premise of this page. Lucky for the author, these votes are meaningless, nobody ever even can agree on what constitutes a consensus, so any jackal that starts a page can have it. Charles widmore 20:37, May 25, 2010 (UTC)
The guy abve makes absolutely no sense. However get rid of dreams because technically a dream can either happen on island or on mainland which is all that matters. -- B1G CZYGS Talk Contribs 21:03, May 25, 2010 (UTC)
- Haha, I agree about the first thing you said. On the matter of the dreams, I completely understand why you say that. However, I'd probably lean more towards the argument that a dream happens from within a person's mind. When dreaming, the mind is in a complete other world than on the island or the mainland, regardless where the person is. Johnlanigan 21:30, May 25, 2010 (UTC)
- I don't like this article. I'm thinking deletion --Dbarts21 02:00, May 26, 2010 (UTC)
- No offense Dbarts but youve officialy laid out the worst argument for deletion in lostpedia histroy "I dont like it" umm care to elaborate on why you dont like it? -- B1G CZYGS Talk Contribs 02:42, May 26, 2010 (UTC)
I actually like this article, for a legitimate reason (not just "the Island wasn't realz!!1!"). It shows much more than just characters with flash-sideways version, but appearances by ghosts and dream-versions, which all tie into the show's long-before-Season-6 motif of "Life After Death." This isn't equaled (and couldn't be equaled) by any other page at this time.--Tim Thomason 07:54, May 27, 2010 (UTC)

Was Eko in the flash sideways?
Edit
After just reading an article on tv.com, someone brought up the theory that Eko was in the flash sideways. Right after his death, we see a clip of young Eko and young Yemi walking down a dirt road together, like a happy ending. Could this signify a flash sideways rather than a flash back?

- No, whoever wrote that article is on drugs, this was clearly a flashback meant to make us think about Eko and his brother and how despite everything he did he was a good man. -- B1G CZYGS Talk Contribs 02:40, May 26, 2010 (UTC)
- I actually believe this could be a flash-sideway too. I mean, Eko wasn't in the church... for him to have already moved on with Yemi could logically explain his absence. Plus, this is the only time we're shown such a random flashback, that serves, apparently, no purpose what so ever. Perhaps the official encyclopedia will shed some light on the issue, however. --LeoChris 02:01, August 27, 2010 (UTC)

Edit
I was just wondering why Charlie Hume isn't listed in this article... TheConstantCredential 04:22, May 26, 2010 (UTC)Becky
Why would he be? He was never shown dying and wasn't shown as an apparition/ghost. And he didn't exist in the flash sideways timeline. So why would he be on here? Johnlanigan 04:37, May 26, 2010 (UTC)
Should we change Sayid's and Claire's?
Edit
Should we change Sayid's and Claire's status to this since they both technically died twice?
| Character | On the Island | On the Mainland | In Dreams | Purgatory | Death |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sayid Jarrah | "Sundown" | "LA X, Part 1" | "Sundown" & "The Candidate" | ||
| Claire Littleton | "The Shape of Things to Come" | "There's No Place Like Home, Part 3" | "LA X, Part 2" | "The Shape of Things to Come" & Post LOST |

- It's a pretty good guess to say that Claire was dead after the house got bombed, but we don't know that for sure, so I don't think we can put that down, but maybe we should do that with Sayid.. --Crash815 Talk 17:44, May 29, 2010 (UTC)
- No, we know that Claire must have been claimed in that episode though because in that same episode, she saw her father. So she must have been claimed in that episode, whether or not it was the explosion that did it. Johnlanigan 02:23, May 30, 2010 (UTC)
- Seeing her father doesnt mean she was "claimed" Michael, Locke, Jack all saw Christian yet they were never claimed, being claimed isnt really anything IMO. -- B1G CZYGS Talk Contribs 03:23, June 5, 2010 (UTC)
