"When Desmond first meets Locke, he asks "What did one snowman say to the other snowman?" This is a joke Michael once wrote to Walt in a letter."
Incorrect: The snowman joke never appeared prior to Season 2--MoJo 14:00, 15 March 2006 (PST)

if you're sure about this, feel free to correct the according pages. I think the snowman has spread to at least 3 or 4 articles... --aurora glacialis 14:07, 15 March 2006 (PST)

It's interesting that so many people are sure that the snowmen joke was in the first series. I wonder why this is? Could it be disinformation spread by the producers? It's also interesting that these people can't agree on who told the joke and to whom. I've also seen two different punchlines: 1. freeze! 2. Do you smell carrots? --208.204.155.241 12:30, 17 March 2006 (PST)

  • Michael's joke from the nurse was about a sunburned penguin (black/white/red all over). If you are ever unsure, you can check the article transcripts for a handy Google "site:" URL to search all Lost transcripts for specific phrases and words. -- Contrib¯ _Santa_ ¯  Talk 12:38, 11 July 2006 (PDT)

World Trade Center[]

  • I made a comment on the WTC Towers not being visible, but I am not 100% certain. Therefore could someone with DVR of the original broadcast confirm that the World Trade Center towers did *NOT* appear in the original US broadcast? At the beginning of the episode, look in the attorney Finney's window. For comparison, see this screencap without towers at lost-media.  Contrib¯ _Santa_ ¯  Talk 12:35, 11 July 2006 (PDT)
  • Checked my copy, the towers are definitely there in the original broadcast. Possibly a framing issue for some people. (Samuelhdiamond 19:35, 18 September 2007 (PDT))
  • The World Trade Center towers did in fact appear in the original broadcast. The rumour originated from a screencap that was circulated around from Lost-Media. The image has been used to defend the fact that the Towers were not in the original episode, and were digitally added later. However, adjusting the colours on the photo reveal the Towers present, thus, it was simply an error on the part of the website for not screencapping the episode correctly. This contrast edited image of the original, reveals the Towers. The original at Lost-Media is also date stamped with the upload date "Sep 28, 2005" on the album page, concluding that the towers were present in the original broadcast. -ChristianShephard (talk) 20:13, April 12, 2015 (UTC)

Boat visable on horizon[]

As I was watching this episode again I noticed a boat on the horizon in the upper left just over Sawyer's right shoulder on the morning after they were wet Adrift. I couldn't get a screen capture. It would be nice if someone with hi-def could get a good screen capture of this.--Boris42 09:15, 14 June 2007 (PDT)

  • It's here. It's also in the bloopers section under the "Adrift" subheading. --Marik7772003 10:14, 14 June 2007 (PDT)

Jolene Blalock[]

Should we add an article for Jolene Blalock? She never appeared on the show, but she filmed a scene for this episode that remained unused and was mentioned in an ABC press release.--Nevermore 09:43, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

    • I think so. On a related note, i added the info last year about this being a Sawyer episode. Just before the season 5 finale aired, Damon and Carlton did a magazine interview where Carlton went into further detail as to why it was not used. As i recall they were not happy with what was filmed. I forgot to add the info to the page at the time and was wondering if anyone has a link to the interview --Anfield Fox|talk|contributions 07:01, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
I would really love to read more about why the scene wasn't shown. As a huge Star Trek geek, having T'Pol on Lost just might blow my mind! -- Dhalia 16:39, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
I searched for it and was glad to find the interview Variety. Can't believe there is a 15-20 minute Lost flashback out there and they will never show it to us, regardless of how bad it is --Anfield Fox|talk|contributions 21:39, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

Cynthia Watros[]

Is it really Cynthia Watros at the end? The article says so, but she wasn't a regular until 2.4 and I recall a DVD extra that stated that was the first episode she filmed stuff for. Could it instead be someone else standing in, since we don't see her clearly? --Golden Monkey 18:40, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

    • I don't think it is. I added this to the "Orientation" page last year "Bernard, Cindy, Libby and possibly Ana Lucia were portrayed by extras in the opening sequence when Eko attacks the raft survivors and in the following scene when they are being transported to the pit. This could have been done for budgetary reasons as to not pay the actors for a full episode or because they had not been cast yet in the case of Bernard and Libby." --Anfield Fox|talk|contributions 07:01, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

Pistol / rifle[]

In the bloopers section it says: "Desmond holds Locke at gunpoint with a pistol. In the same shot in Man of Science, Man of Faith, Locke is held with Desmond's rifle." - I can't confirm this. I have both episodes right here and checked them and in both Locke is held at gunpoint by Desmond with the pistol. You can see the rifle on the right side of Locke, as in, hanging from Desmond's shoulder, not being used. Anyone? Thanks. --Rossiini (talk) 22:33, August 3, 2014 (UTC)

Yes, it is quite clearly a pistol in both perspectives of the stand off. I'm not sure how someone made that mistake, or why it wasn't taken down before. I'll remove it.--Baker1000 (talk) 00:04, August 6, 2014 (UTC)

Amsterdam[]

In S1 "Special", when Michael is hit by a car, he was saying he was to come to Amsterdam. However in this episode which takes place after car accident, Michael is havin a legal battle. Is this continuity error or did Susan and Walt come back from Amsterdam? Gevorg89 (talk) 09:52, 11 November 2020 (UTC)

Susan and Walt returned to America after Special because Susan wanted full custody of Walt. She couldn't do that from Amsterdam. Hornacek (talk) 15:12, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
