Spanish Johnny's is a Mexican-themed chain restaurant in Los Angeles, California. Ornamental sombreros decorate the walls, and customers munch on homemade tortilla chips while waiting to be served.

Hugo was supposed to meet a blind date, Rosalita, for lunch at a Spanish Johnny's on the day after he was presented the Man of the Year award by the Golden State Natural History Museum. Instead, he met Libby when she approached him while there with a group from the Santa Rosa Mental Institute. ("Everybody Loves Hugo")

The restaurant's name is the name of the character in Bruce Springsteen's song "Incident on 57th Street". The song is from Springsteen's album The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle. "Rosalita", the name of Hurley's missing date, is also the name of a song from the same album. The writer for "Everybody Loves Hugo", Adam Horowitz, is a Springsteen fan.
