Sawyer Jones and the Temple of Boom
"Sawyer Jones and the Temple of Boom" is an orchestral piece on the Season 5 soundtrack.
Main appearance
Edit
In 1977, Sawyer and Juliet prepare to return to the "real world", but an unwelcome intruder arrives. The sub dives.
Meanwhile, in the tunnels Sayid and Jack discuss Eloise's motives in helping them. They reach Jughead.
In 2007, Locke, Ben, and the rest of the Others begin their exodus from their camp. Locke tells Ben he is not interested in being reunited with his people, and that he wants to find Jacob so he can kill him.
Influences
Edit
The piece begins with Sawyer and Juliet's theme, which Kate's theme cuts short. The submarine theme then finishes the first movement. The second movement consists of Jughead's theme. The final movement consists mainly of the second traveling theme and ends on a blending of the mystery theme and the cliffhanger motif.
Title significance
Edit
The title refers to the second Indiana Jones film, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. As the second movement plays, Jack and Sayid travel through a temple-like area to find a hydrogen bomb, which they intend to detonate.
