Theories

Rose and Bernard built a cabin in the jungle near the beach, approximately five miles from the Barracks, after they escaped from the flaming arrow attack. They scavenged for food and lived there for two years, not wanting to join Sawyer and the others at the Barracks. Vincent kept them company. ("The Incident, Part 1")

They built the cabin in 1975, and after flashing to 2007 continued to live at the cabin, where they brought Desmond Hume after finding him stuck in a well. ("The End")
