Two identical gold Rolex watches were given to Jin by Mr. Paik to deliver to business associates in Sydney, Australia and Los Angeles, California. ("...In Translation") Jin delivered the first one, but crashed on the Island before he could deliver the second one.
Michael found the remaining watch on the beach and decided to wear it. When Jin saw this, he attacked Michael to protect his honor. After Sun explained to Michael why Jin acted the way he did, Michael gave the watch back to him. ("House of the Rising Sun") After the second raft was launched, Jin returned the watch to Michael. ("Exodus, Part 2")
After returning to New York, Michael pawned the watch at Gus' Pawn Shop in exchange for a revolver in an attempt to take his life. Gus noticed the watch's Korean inscription: "Congratulations ... mutual cooperation ... business development ... Mr. Paik". ("Meet Kevin Johnson")

- The watch shown is most of the time a modern Rolex Daytona two-tone, in gold and stainless, but an older Rolex Datejust two-tone has also been used.
