Phil Abrams was born on December 28, 1959, in Los Angeles, California. He is married, and has an autistic child. Abrams co-authored the book The Autistic Spectrum Parents' Daily Helper in 2004.
Career

Abrams' first role came in a 1999 episode of The X-Files, in which he played the character "Little Fritz." In 2001, he appeared as an anxious wedding guest on the sitcom Friends, and the next year appeared in an episode of The Practice. In 2004, Abrams appeared in episodes of The O.C., Navy NCIS, Without a Trace, and The Tracy Morgan Show. In 2005, Abrams appeared as an OBGYN in the Michael Bay film The Island, and appeared in an episode of Desperate Housewives the same year. Over the next few years, Abrams appeared in shows such as Nip/Tuck, Gilmore Girls, Boston Legal, My Name is Earl, Chuck, Eli Stone, Pushing Daisies, 24, and Grey's Anatomy.

In 2008, Abrams appeared as John Locke's high school teacher Gellert in the Season 4 episode "Cabin Fever", and has not reappeared since.
