BackgroundEdit

Dini attended Emerson College in Boston, earning a BFA degree in creative writing. (He also attended Harvard University and took several zoology classes.) Dini was hired by George Lucas in 1984 to work on several animation projects. In 1989 he was hired at Warner Brothers Animation. Dini is best known as a writer and producer for animated shows such as He-Man And The Masters of the Universe, Transformers, Star Wars: Ewoks and Tiny Toon Adventures, and was the lead writer on the popular and critically acclaimed 90's animated DC Comics adaptions which include Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series and Batman Beyond for which he has won several Emmys. During this period of his career, Dini co-created several Batman characters which moved from the animated show to the comics themselves, and into wider Batman lore, a first at the time. The most famous of these is Joker's sidekick, Harley Quinn.
