Paik's associate is an associate of Paik's.

He was speaking with Mr. Paik in his office when Sun arrived to talk to her father about a money loan she wanted to pay off Jin's mother. He congratulated Sun on her recent marriage to Jin and excused himself, allowing Sun and Mr. Paik to talk in private. ("D.O.C.")

He was seen again with another man talking to Mr. Paik when Sun arrived at her father's office to inform him that she had bought a controlling interest in his company. ("There's No Place Like Home, Part 1")
