Opal was a DHARMA Initiative nurse who assigned incoming Initiative personnel to their jobs during registration on the Island. In "The Man Behind the Curtain" she gave Roger Linus the task of being a "Work Man". She was presumably killed along with all other members of the DHARMA Initiative in the Purge.
