Company in California
Who really killed Nadia?
- Ishmael Bakir was hired to kill Sayid and would have succeeded if Jacob had not asked Sayid for directions. Nadia died as an accident.
- Ishmael Bakir and Nadia were both Widmore/Dharma operatives. Either Bakir was ordered to kill Nadia because she had "gone rogue", or they were former lovers, and he killed her because she had fallen in love with Sayid.
- Evidence: Ishmael Bakir is played by Faran Tahir, of Iron Man and J.J. Abrams' Star Trek. Hard to imagine they would cast him in the role of a random thug.
- Bakir appears at Nadia's funeral - why would he go to the funeral if he had no relationship to Nadia other than as a target chosen by his boss?
- Nadia is a Widmore/Dharma operative: she was in London, where Widmore lives, in Greatest Hits; and was spying on Locke in California. (We already know that Abaddon, who also works for Widmore, knew about Locke, as Abaddon was the one to give Locke the Walkabout brochure.) Many of the company in California theories would seem to support the fact that she is an operative of something.
- Nadia appears at the Oceanic Six Press Conference uninvited - she was sent by Widmore/Dharma to get close to Sayid.
- Ben Killed Nadia in order to get Sayid on his side to begin the systematic killing of Widmore's people.
- Evidence: Ben smiles when he convinced Sayid to join him.
- Sayid beat Ben severely during their conflict in the Swan Station. Killing Nadia is his revenge.
- Nadia's murder currently makes no sense. No one else close to the Oceanic Six has been murdered.
- How would Ben have access to a photograph of Nadia's Killer driving from her home?
- Ben was thousands of miles away when Nadia died. He couldn't have killed her.
- Ben appears to have been thrown forward in time from 2004 to shortly after Nadia's death, which would appear to absolve him of any involvement.
- Unless Ben had arranged to have Nadia killed before leaving the island/time-jumping. As Ben claims, he always has a plan. Ben could've told Alpert to kill Nadia (in the future) right after giving Sayid and the Losties the helicoptor. If Ben knew how far in the future he would travel, he could've told Alpert to do it one week before he returned, thus giving Ben an alibi of sorts.
- Ben didn't know how far he would travel as evidenced by him asking the hotel clerk in Tunisia what date it was. Ben jumped in December 2004 and reappeared in October 2005. Nadia and Sayid did not meet again until early January 2005 after the press conference. Ben did not reappear until after Nadia was killed and he saw Sayid being interviewed about it on television. Ben thought the people on the freighter were killed because he killed Keamy. So for Ben to be the mastermind behind Nadia's death that means he knew Sayid would survive the destruction of the freighter, that he would get involved with and marry Nadia, where Nadia and Sayid were living and that Ben roughly knew when he would reappear in the future all before he jumped. Widmore may not have had Bakir kill Nadia but Ben COULDN'T have done it. Either Widmore hired Bakir, another Other other than Ben did or a third party did.
- The Others, under the direction of Locke, killed Nadia in order to begin manipulating Sayid into returning to the island.
- Abaddon killed Nadia and will continue to kill those close to the Oceanic 6.
- Nadia was killed because she began to get too close to the truth about what really happened to the Oceanic Six on the island.
- Widmore ordered Nadia killed because she found out something he didn't want to b found out while working at Widmore labs.
- I think Ben or Widmore killed Nadia because both of them wanted Sayid on the island. If Nadia was alive,Sayid wouldn't have gone to the island
Why did Sayid tell Rousseau that Nadia was dead?
- Sayid was under duress at the time, as Rousseau's prisoner, yet he was also experienced at interrogation, which Rousseau was attempting upon him. Sayid purposefully lied to Rousseau because he knew saying his lover was dead would engender sympathy. He was manipulating Rousseau as she was interrogating him. Quite ingenious when one thinks about it.
- Sayid thought that the CIA had reneged on their agreement as he hadn't arrived to meet Nadia. He believed that they turned her over to the Iraq government, where she would have been executed.
Is Nadia Pregnant?
- Nadia could have been pregnant at the time of her death, given the fact that she was with Sayid for exactly 9 months...
- Yes,she could have...and not only that but she might have been the subject of this conversation from 'Something Nice Back Home'...
KATE: That was Noreen.
JACK: Noreen?
KATE: Yeah. She's one of the moms from the park. What?
JACK: Nothing. I just... never heard you mention her before.
KATE: Well, now you have.
- That was Cassidy not Nadia.
