  1. Stated as questions or possibilities (avoid question marks, "Maybe", "I think", etc).
  2. More appropriate for another article.
  3. Illogical or previously disproven.
  4. Proven by canon source, and moved to main article.
  5. Speculative and lacking any evidence to support arguments.
  6. Responding to another theory (use discussion page instead).
  • This does not include responses that can stand alone as its own theory.
  • Usage of an indented bullet does not imply the statement is a response.

See the Lostpedia theory policy for more details.

  • Dexter Stratton?
  • A character that is of little or no importance that will never be revealed.
  • The writers may have chosen that the code would have been put by a musician so that it would stress the idea of Charlie heading towards his fate, as he is a musician himself and it would be easy for him to figure out the musical code.
  • As we saw in The Shape of Things to Come, Ben is a pianist. Therefore he could have programmed the code at the same time as he stationed Bonnie and Greta. He didn't want anyone to tamper with the equipment, so as well as telling his people that the station was flooded, he utilized the double redundancy of having a code in place, just in case anyone thought of venturing down.
    • Only three people (four, if you count Charlie) know the code. One of them is Ben.
  • Could very well be Daniel Faraday. He was blatantly shown to be a musician, and he worked for the DHARMA Initiative for several years in the 1970's. He could have programmed the code just as he told Ellie to encase Jughead and put it underground. Though the Looking Glass Station had been built before Faraday's arrival in 1973, the jamming device may well not have been. Even if it had, Faraday may have later changed the code.
