Identity
- Marvin Candle - Having defected to The Others, he may have programmed the Looking Glass code by orders from Ben.

- The writers may have chosen that the code would have been put by a musician so that it would stress the idea of Charlie heading towards his fate, as he is a musician himself and it would be easy for him to figure out the musical code.
- As we saw in The Shape of Things to Come, Ben is a pianist. Therefore he could have programmed the code at the same time as he stationed Bonnie and Greta. He didn't want anyone to tamper with the equipment, so as well as telling his people that the Station was flooded, he utilized the double redundancy of having a code in place, just in case anyone thought of venturing down.
