Monty Alban is a metafictional character who appears in the novel "Bad Twin", a novel written by Flight 815 passenger Gary Troup. He was married to Vivian Widmore, and possibly a gangster involved with the Gambino family. He ran a cement company.
He disappeared and was eventually officially declared deceased. However, his body was never found.

- Near the end of the book, it's revealed that Mr. Thursday is actually Monty Alban, who is having an affair with Vivian.
