Michael deYcaza is one of the members of the background cast as both a Tailie and then as an Other (since he was kidnapped). His first appearance was in "Adrift" portraying Bernard, one of the Tailies. He appeared as a background tail-section survivor ("The Other 48 Days"). Since then, he appeared as a background Other in at the decoy village ("Three Minutes"), the Pala Ferry Dock ("Live Together, Die Alone"), the quarry ("The Glass Ballerina"), the ruins ("The Brig") and the second camp ("The Man Behind the Curtain"), he also appeared when the Others captured Kate and Sayid ("There's No Place Like Home, Part 1").
