Margo Shephard is Jack's mother and Christian's wife. She used Jack's guilt over his relationship with Christian to convince Jack to go to Australia and bring his father home. She seemed to blame Jack for Christian's out-of-control behavior and drinking. ("White Rabbit")

She was noticeably absent at Jack's wedding. ("Do No Harm") Christian admitted on that day that he had made the wrong choice by marrying Margo. ("The Watch")

After the return of the Oceanic Six, she was awaiting Jack at the runway. She was extremely glad to see that he had returned safely. Afterwards, she was spotted at Christian's funeral. She left Jack alone when it was over and returned home to wait for him. ("There's No Place Like Home, Part 1")

• Margo is short for Margaret. Greek name for Margaret is Pearl.[1]
