Necessary?

Do we need a separate policy to further define "No Personal Attacks", beyond the section on Netiquette & Basic Courtesy found in LP:GUG? -BearDog 17:07, 30 January 2007 (PST)

I feel that due to the behavior of certain members on the site, a more formal policy is needed. A guide is just a guide, while policy is something to be enforced. --   Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 18:38, 30 January 2007 (PST)

Rename?

  • Should we rename this to "the anti-Captain Insano Act"?--CaptainInsano 17:21, 30 January 2007 (PST)
  • I agree, I don't like this some users need in no uncertain terms telling. Princess Dharma (banned)

It means that some users could use someone having a go at them. The Captain Insanos of the world are necessary. Princess Dharma (banned)

  • That's not your responsibility here. If you are aware of a user that needs "having a go at", then bring that to the attention of a sysop for evaluation and the appropriate disciplinary measures will be taken.    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 14:16, 11 March 2007 (PDT)

I believe it should be every users right and responsibility to ensure other users convene to the rules. If a user steps out of line then anybody should be able to tell them what for. Princess Dharma (banned)

Yes, but in a calm and courteous fashion.    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 14:27, 11 March 2007 (PDT)

Why should I be nice to an idiot? Princess Dharma (banned)

And why should I or Jabr. You are no longer welcome here PD. You've gone too far. -- Plkrtn  talk  contribs  email  14:31, 11 March 2007 (PDT)
Wow, a perfect example of breaking the "No personal attacks" policy on the "No personal attacks" talk page; didn't see that one coming.--CaptainInsano 15:52, 11 March 2007 (PDT)
