There is no actual proof that Ishmael Bakir was involved in Nadia's death. Based on Ben's willingness to lie to anyone, friend or enemy, Bakir may have been used by Ben to recruit Sayid.

He is actually alive, and will return to kill Sayid. He was the one who crashed the plane in 316, and we will see him again on the island.
