In August 2008 the downloading service iTunes began an official Lost Book Club where users can download audiobooks of books read, mentioned, or seen in the television series Lost. It was endorsed by the creators of the show, Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse and they wrote the description of the Book Club for its iTunes page. The page also links to "More LOST on iTunes" which, when clicked, takes users to the LOST, Season 4 download page.

iTunes Description and Introduction

Dear LOST reader (and listener!),

Over the first four seasons of LOST, we managed to incorporate many books into the show. Now, for the first time here at iTunes we have cataloged a list of books available in audio form that relate in some way to LOST. Some are being read by our characters, such as Sawyer, or are just sitting on shelves in episodes of the show; others connect with various themes of the series. But the audiobooks here were all carefully chosen to reflect some aspect of the story we're trying to tell.

We hope that you join our informal LOST book club. To paraphrase one of our heroes, Stephen King, to be a writer one must first be a reader (and listener!). We find ourselves constantly striving for even a small measure of the accomplishment of what these authors have achieved in their books. Pick up and download any of them and experience the richness of storytelling, character and theme, and then allow your imagination to connect all that back into our show.

All our best,

Damon and Carlton (Executive Producers, LOST)
